Ohio School Shooter TJ Lane Gives Victims' Families the Finger at Sentencing By CHRISTINA NG | ABC News – 1 hr 12 mins ago
Ohio school shooter TJ Lane arrived at his sentencing hearing today wearing a blue button down shirt. After he sat down, he unbuttoned the shirt to reveal a white t-shirt with the word "killer" emblazoned across the front in black marker.
When Lane was given the opportunity to make a statement to the court, he made a short statement and then stuck his middle finger up in the courtroom filled with the loved ones of the three students he gunned down.
Lane, 18, smirked and smiled as family members of his victims called him "repulsive" and hoped for him to be locked up in a cage "like an animal" for the rest of his life.
"Frankly, I wasn't prepared for this," the prosecutor said moments after Lane's gesture. He said the action was proof that Lane is a "disgusting human being."
"This is confirming what we have known all along, that this was a cold, calculated, premeditated killing," the prosecutor said.
The judge sentenced Lane to life imprisonment without parole. Lane chuckled at the sentence.
Lane killed three students during a Feb. 27, 2012 rampage at Chardon High School. Daniel Parmertor, 16, Demetrius Hewlin, 16, and Russell King Jr., 17, were all killed. When he was captured a short time later he was wearing a grey shirt with the word "killer" written on the front.

The sad part is I know people who are know relatives of the young man who was left in a wheelchair. Nick has such dignity and honor even though he may face the rest of his life in a wheelchair. His shooter has his legs but will never have what Nick has.

I just looked at the little creep’s picture at the link. He doesn’t know it, but he’s about to experience sexual re-orientation by brute force in the prison system.
My daughter is a Sheriff Deputy and knows many prisoners like this one. He won’t make it. His FIRST day will be hell. If he even tries to keep his smirk, he won’t make it a week. To have a kid come into the group with his attitude, someone will have to prove they he is NOTHING! That is just the way it works. His only hope is to take it to the hilt and swallow when told. Why would they let him live otherwise? He might have been big stuff in HS, but he is about to be schooled in the ways of Hell. He will be murdered, go insane, or kill himself, before he is 21. Shooting the finger in court doesn’t impress the people he is about to meet.

CHARDON, Ohio - No remorse was shown from TJ Lane at his sentencing for the murder of three students inside Chardon High School’s cafeteria last February.
It began with Lane entering the courtroom where he took off his button-down shirt, revealing a white T-shirt underneath with the word “KILLER” written in black marker.
Then, Lane flipped off the victims’ families as he spoke these vile words.
“This hand that pulled the trigger that killed your sons now masturbates to the memory. F*** all of you.”

Gasps were heard all throughout the courtroom, as grieving families tried to take in what they had just heard.
With each word of sadness expressed by victims’ family members, Lane smiled more, nodding in satisfaction of the precious lives he took.
Daniel Parmertor was one of three teens shot and killed by Lane on Feb. 27, 2012 inside Chardon High School’s cafeteria.
“That murderer could never have been a fraction of what my baby would be. He is repulsive. He will be forgotten as he rots in prison. I will be glad knowing his existence is controlled by rules and that he’s away from society locked in a cage like the animal he is,” Parmertor’s mother told a grinning Lane. “You don’t deserve to be called human. You’re a monster.”
Nick Walczak was injured during Lane’s shooting spree that deadly day and while alive today, remains paralyzed and wheelchair bound.
“Nick is an amazing person. He is strong. He is a survivor,” said Nick’s mother, Holly. “You’re evil. You don’t know kind….I hate the pain you caused Nick. “You are really lucky there are so many police in this room right now.”
Demetrius Hewlin also died when Lane opened fire that day. Hewlin’s father says he misses his son every day and he will never be forgotten.
“On days that my back hurt, he’d put my shoes on for me. He’d come home from school and fix us something to eat.”
Also murdered by Lane was Russell King Jr., whose family painted a picture of their tremendous grief, deep pain and sadness.
“He is the evil, disgusting animal who took a gun into a place that was supposed to be safe and he murdered three amazing, handsome, funny, smart boys,” King’s sister told Lane.
After victim impact statements were given, the judge proceeded to sentencing. But not before saying how clear it was that Lane wasn’t sorry.
“It’s abundantly clear that Lane wasn’t impaired, insane or incompetent at the time of the shootings. He planned, prepared for and executed the scheme by himself,” the judge explained. “Without remorse, an offender is likely to re-offend. In this case, we would expect (to see remorse). Needless to say, that is lacking. The defendant tried to make a name for himself.”
Taking all things into consideration, the judge imposed a sentence of life in prison without parole. Lane then said he would appeal the sentence.
As Lane got up to leave the courtroom, sheriff’s deputies grabbed him before he could put his button-down back on. He was cuffed and taken away.
At an impromptu news conference following sentencing, Lane’s sister, Sadie, told reporters she was at school the day of the deadly shooting, saying “the brother in the courtroom — and that did this — was not the brother I knew.” She said she still loves Lane and hopes peace and compassion will overcome hate.
Lane’s defense attorney wouldn’t say if he knew Lane was going to wear the appalling T-shirt, but did say Lane’s vulgar statement was “hard to hear.”
Prosecutors were next to speak with media. “What (Lane) did today is consistent with what we thought of him all along. We are disgusted by his statement.” They also explained motives will be discussed first with victims’ families before they’re detailed to the media.
A text message sent from Lane to his sister noted a shooting would happen six days before it did, but prosecutors said Lane’s sister didn’t feel any reason to take the message seriously.
Lane was at Chardon High School waiting for a bus to the alternative school he attended, for students who haven’t done well in traditional settings, when he committed the crime, firing 10 shots inside the cafeteria before running out.
Last month, Lane pleaded guilty to three counts of aggravated murder, two counts of attempted aggravated murder and one count of felonious assault.
The death penalty was never an option for Lane because he was 17 at the time of the shootings.
20 years of use by other male prisoners should make him remember what "brought him to his knees"......
T.J. Lane is bad & must spend the rest of his life in prison. If a jury had given him the death penalty, then that’s 1 thing. HOWEVER, there is no excuse for sex abuse. Most people in prison if anything lose libido. Advocating sex abuse on some1 is evil.
Also the parents & family of T.J. Lane are innocent & must be left alone. They did nothing wrong & are sad over T.J. Lane turning out to be a murderer. It’s sad that 3 people were killed & it’s also sad that T.J. Lane turned out this way. Anyhow, T.J. Lane is bad but there is no excuse to harass family members of T.J. Lane & they must be left alone.
The killer is bad & must never get out of prison. But it is bad to harass the killer’s family. The killer is to blame, NOT his family. His family are sad that he turned out that way & harassing his family is evil & it’s bad to even talk about his family here on the Internet. I have no animosity against the killer’s family, so leave them alone.
This is an example of the type of murderer who must be executed because they are too dangerous to keep in a jail.
This one will probably murder a guard, a fellow prisoner ~ most likely someone imprisoned for a white collar crime, or maybe even an innocent man framed by bad DNA, or whatever, or he could scrag a visitor.
Fur shur he's thinking of how to kill again even now and plotting and planning the death.
Sure, he's young ~ but the courts erred in imagining this type of murderer can be trusted. They imagine they kept him from dying on the gurney, but fail to think of the other people they are condemning to death who didn't do a thing deserving of the penalty. He becomes the court's executioner for the imposition of an unjust penalty on the innocent!
