Hasta La Vista Assault Weapons Ban (Feinstein Bill Shot Down)
Breitbart.Com ^ | March 19, 2013 | Elizabeth Sheld

After a meeting yesterday with Harry Reid (D-NV), Sen. Dianne Feinstein learned that her controversial assault weapons ban mess will not be part of the gun control bill package heading to the senate floor next month.

The AWB could be offered up as an amendment, but the bill was already considered a long shot, as senate democrats will be facing a competitive election cycle for 2014. Many face constituents back home who do not support such legislation.

This would be reassuring, except four years ago she could just as easily have written: "ObamaCare could be offered up as an amendment, but the bill was already considered a long shot, as senate democrats will be facing a competitive election cycle for 2010. Many face constituents back home who do not support such legislation." When it comes to big gains in government power over us, the thugs in the democrat party do not care what it costs them personally or the country as a whole. There is no bigger gain than disarming the people. If the far left can accelerate the transition from a free country to a people's republic, it's worth any price to them.

Thank God elections of senators are staggered. Can you imagine the nightmare if every one of the rat bastards were elected on the same day every six years?

In a just world, Feinstein would be nothing more than a village yenta. Unfortunately in this one she has the power and staus of a United States Senator.

Why should they be scared?

The Left holds the Senate, and the House is capitulating. The AWB will be ObamaCare Redux.

Ah, a little good news. So nice on a Tuesday.

Now the rest of the bills need to die.

Funny how this works.

The dems have a problem with you owning a .22 that holds more than 10 rounds, yet they don’t have a problem with a known drug user and associate of domestic terrorist having his finger on the nuclear button.

I'll have a sip of that drink I plan to toast the end of her time in office with, but only a sip.

That was just one wild haymaker from a crazy who just keeps swinging and the round isn't over. Those jabs and below the belt shots just keep coming and it looks like the ref is family.

Get lazy or sloppy and one of those wild swings will be that "lucky punch".

I still wonder if she “fed” Dan White’s mental instability and “armed and aimed” him at Harvey Milk. Wasn’t she first on the scene to find his body? After all, his death is what jump-started her political career, bully that she is. It really is odd that someone who has such a hatred for all things firearm used to have a carry permit. If she were so traumatized by finding Milk, one would think that her trauma would not allow her to handle AR15s and other weapons with such ease. There must be more to the woman’s psychology than we acknowledge.

This is interesting.

Feinstein knew this was going to happen and went through her theatrics anyway, or she thought she would be able to build enough public outrage to push it through. If it was the latter, it backfired.

Either way, the Democrats realize this is a losing issue. One has to wonder why they are doing it. For some reason, they seem to think it will help them in the 2014 mid-terms, and think the outcome will be different than 1994 (the last time they did this).

Good news for a change! Hope they shoot down (no pun intended) the entire farce of a gun control mess!

I guess all the years of "experience" Feinstein has doesn't trump the Constitution. The semi-automatic weapon ban (I won't say assault) is nothing like her "experience" as head of the Military Construction Appropriations Subcommittee where she could funnel contracts to her husbands companies.

Keep in mind that it was never intended to pass,

it was intended to make the “compromise” palatable by comparison.

Don’t forget to vote in 2014. Campaigning for pro-Second Amendment candidates would be even better.

I’m happy with this development but I’m not letting my guard down for a sec. They (Progs, Commies, whatever they’re calling themselves on any given day) will never stop trying to take our guns away.
If they can’t do it at the Fed level they will try the state level.
If they can’t do it at the state level they will try the local level.
If they can’t do it at the local level they will try the Fed level again!
Meanwhile, they will constantly be trying to do it at the international level if they can.

They will never stop. Every gun not under their control is a gun that may interfere with their plans.

I’m certain there is more legislation being drafted right now.
