In a statement posted on the front page of their website, officials at the Green Street United Methodist Church said that they ask other churches to join in the movement to “refuse to sign any State marriage licenses until this right is granted to same- sex couples.”
In the full version of their statement - publicly posted on their website – the church asks that services such as premarital counseling be offered to couples of all orientations, in addition to other couple-specific services.

Not a church. A den of sin, and a den of liars. The people who would attend such a place are not Christians, and I will never recognize them as such.
And when people of faith take their marriage elsewhere, the church loses money and dies. Not like there is a Pope to Xcom anyone so I do not see an issue.
Other than homos closing ANOTHER church...which is the intent to begin with.

First wife was UMC so naturally we attended her denomination instead of mine. We had one pastor who was great friends with Tom Harkin, the guy who ran Nicaragua and Gov. Vlasick. Another was a female pastor who lasted exactly one year. EVERY single sermon was about gay rights.

While the United Methodist denomination continues to wrestle with issues around sexual identity, Green Street seeks to be a witness to the wider church community by living out the motto of “open minds, open hearts and open doors.”
The wheat is steadily being winnowed from the chaff.
