Good point:

Note that these are described as “personal defense weapons”, while less lethal weapons in the hands of US citizens are described as “assault rifles”.

My intuition says we're not planning to invade Poland

And you would be right - you goof.
Poland isn't even on the same continent!

It's Canada they're going after - all that oil...

"A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed."

If government civil service agencies are going to stock up on "military" grade weapons for possible use against the people of the free state, then it only makes sense that the people of said free state (ie, the militia) exercise their 2nd amendment rights to stock up on same to defend themselves from the very real possibility of government overstepping its constitutional bounds, ie, tyranny and oppression.

Somebody has been planning for this for some time. :(

Right now Orwell is being quoted quite freely on Twitter. Something about imagining a boot planted on the face...

I’m astounded that things devolved to this point so quickly. America had better pull its head out of its behind and fast.

Does anyone but the military have to take this oath?

“I, [name], do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.”

If non military employees do not have to take an oath defending the Constitution, then it is obvious why Napalitano is buying armored vehicles and billions of rounds of ammunition. Her minions are not required to defend the 2nd Amendment.

And where does she plan to park these 2700 tanks? I’m guessing
they’re for curfew enforcement...

I’m watching for high-profile ‘early retirements’ and such.

Because they are going to need them in a big way when they confiscate all the Private 401k’s and other such Pension and Retirement Plans, all to be put into treasuries (IOU’S) and then Congress can Spend,Spend, and spend some more with all the new found money. Let’s face it, their Gun Control Agenda isn’t working out the way they planned, and We the People probably won’t be as nice and friendly as they are in Cyprus.

I suspect people ask - and each group gets a lie tailored just for them... one they’ll ‘buy’. Janet needs to come forth with ONE answer and let Americans know what she’s doing...
