Bloomberg wants to ban tobacco on display
My Fox NY ^ | 03-18-2013 | The Associated Press

A new proposal would require New York City retailers to keep tobacco products out of sight under a first-in-the-nation proposal aimed at reducing the youth smoking rate, Mayor Michael Bloomberg said Monday.

The legislation would require stores to keep tobacco products in cabinets, drawers, under the counter, behind a curtain or in other concealed spots. They could only be visible when an adult is making a purchase or during restocking.

"Such displays suggest that smoking is a normal activity," Bloomberg said. "And they invite young people to experiment with tobacco."

We gripe about Obama being a dictator and ignore Bloomberg and his ilk at our peril. Truth is, his is worse. It is local and immediate.

"And they invite young people to experiment with tobacco."

Then I guess all that marijuana on display makes young people want to experiment with that as well........

Doncha’ just love this little twerp? How about hiding the Hudson River from view so no one drowns? Or maybe hide the bridges from view so no one has a car accident or jumps off of them. Or hide the skyscrapers so no one jumps off? Or hide the mayor so no one wants to punch him in the mouth?

I think he needs a girlfriend. Can someone get him a date?

He just has too much time on his hands.

send him to Staten Island with that Jimmy Carter house-building deal maybe.

Any bets that Palins next speech will involve her smoking a pipe?

Instead of playing these games, why don’t they just outlaw tobacco?

He’s like clockwork this guy. I was saying last week every Monday he comes up with a new thing to ban, and sure enough. Somebody should make a website “What will Bloomberg ban” and you can place bets. Coffee? Tea? Sugar? Tanning salons? Bagels? I would say alcohol but believe it or not he is working on that. He tried last year but I know he isn’t giving up. Yes, prohibition returns.

I really miss going into a bar, having a beer and a shot and lighting up a cigarette. That was awesome. Just a place where you could let go, and I don’t really smoke or drink, but once in a while it was fun and really relaxing. That was the biggest stress killer, now everythings got to be uptight an anal. That’s what really ticks me off about this SOB more than anything.

Obamacare is much worse than all the things Bloomberg has done.

already 50,000 pages of new obamacare government regulations set to come out, calorie counts also as Bloomberg did.

In a related story, residents of Bloombergopolis must now prove they are 21 or older in order to purchase

Don't laugh, it could happen!

Yes-excellent idea-the practice of tarring and feathering and riding them out of town on a rail needs to be brought back. Wouldn’t that be a sight.....
