'Autopsy' Is the Right Word: RNC Releases Report on Party's Future
Big Government ^ | March 18, 2013 | Joel B. Pollak

The Republican National Committee (RNC) has released its long-awaited study on the 2012 elections, with detailed recommendations about how the party can improve its future.

The report, entitled the “Growth and Opportunity Project,” was compiled by a special committee consisting of former Gov. Haley Barbour of Mississippi, veteran GOP adviser Sally Bradshaw, former White House spokesman Ari Fleischer, Puerto Rico committeewoman Zori Fonalledas, and South Carolina committeeman Glenn McCall.

For several months, RNC chairman Reince Priebus has referred to the committee’s report on the state of the party as an “autopsy.” It is an apt description, because the 100-page report has as much chance of reviving the GOP as an autopsy has of reviving a corpse. The report effectively suggests Republicans try to compete with Democrats by imitating them--not just in tactics and appearance, but in policy and ideas as well.

The Republican National Committee (RNC) has released its long-awaited study on the 2012 elections

They can analyse this 'til the cows come home, but the bottom line is... the long march of the left to communize parts of the populace has succeeded. We are the minority, and the country isn't going back. The GOP will still win some elections at the state, Congressional and Senate level, but really and truly... forget the friggin' White House. That's a done deal.

long-awaited study

Long awaited? By whom? It's nothing more than a Democratic-laced guide to losing all our elections. Just who was waiting for this? I could have written it here in Northeastern Ohio for a coupla' bucks.

Unless Suggestion #1 is “Fire ‘Reince’ Prebus” then it is useless political hackery.

He did a good job here in Wisconsin. Gave us the Governorship, the House and the Assembly! We’re gettin’ things DONE in this leftist state.

But, I’m sure Reince was out of his league in DC. Hell, they ALL are.

We had our greatest electoral victory in 70 years in 2010 ~ afterwards our RNC promptly fired the RNC Chairman.

We had one of the worst lickings in our history in 2012 ~ afterwards our RNC promptly rehired the losing RNC Chairman and put him in charge of finding new ways to mess with the party.

THEY ~ the RNC members ~ are MENTALLY ILL. Do not listen to them.

Where's one of the big donors who wants to see some victories? We need him to contribute to a fund dedicated to decapitating the party and screwing in a new noggin!

All you have to read is the list of “special committee” members to know that this group will in no way represent the thinking of Libertarians and Conservatives. Their first order of business should be to change the name of the party from Republican to Whig.

I just heard RNC Chairman Preibus (?) on the news talking about this. We have Apologists and Pussies running the show.

On top of that, he sounds like that whiny Libtard Liebermnan.

I think the GOP just handed the House to the Rats in 2014.

Independent or Constitution Party for me, I’m done.

You can’t out Democrat the Democrats and Democrat Lite does not cut it. You do not represent Conservative ideals and haven’t for a long time. I am a Conservative first Not a Republican first. If your new Democrat Lite strategy does not kill the party your amnesty for 12 million or more new Democrat voters will.
Let the party die . I am over it and tired of fighting not only the Democrats but the Republicans too.

Like anyone will read it.

I think Scott Walker got you the wins there IN SPITE OF Prebus, not because of him.

If it was, it would have translated to other places WITHOUT kick-ass governors like Walker

“We have Apologists and Pussies running the show.”

Yes and we have the same throughout the ranks empowering them. We are rancid with apologists right here on FR that scream ‘traitor’ and question the ‘patriotism’ of anyone refusing to keep empowering our political problem and it’s mad dash to the left.

What we really need is a purge of moderates and liberals from the conservative ranks. Claiming to be conservative and then demanding we accept homosexuality, abortion and a host of other ‘moderate’ positions is not conservative. Nor is campaigning for liberals.

I see Riese is bitching that purity is the problem. Well, the opposite of purity is CORRUPTION. So that is exactly what he’s going to get more of. And he seems good with that.

At this point, anyone willing to support the GOP is every bit the danger to America that the Dems/Libs are. Because they are supporting the same things via the GOP.

It makes me crazy when the supposed ‘conservative wing’ of the party acts like a schoolgirl chasing a boy for the dance...

“Maybe if I dress myself and act like a complete whore he’ll notice me.”

That’s what a big chunk of conservatism is today. And many ‘conservatives’ proved it with their harping that ‘principles don’t matter’. Really? You have a GOP FILLED TO THE BRIM with those very same unprincipled people they demanded we vote for! How the frig is THAT working out for everyone? With one cave after slap in the face after another?

Freaking idiots need to be run out of the conservative movement on a rail.
