Mr. Serrano has been introducing this amendment, and also an amendment to repeal the 2nd Amendment, every two years since he was elected. Nothing ever comes of it.

Maybe this time it will. I’m not convinced El-Presidente will leave the white house without a fight.

I have seen this come up from time to time. This is one of those moves that both sides supported when they have a guy they want to stay another term. This is also a back door to tyranny a’la Chavez. Our side should never utter this concept again no matter how good the GOP guy is. It will destroy our nation in the long run.

Right after Obama cheated his way into a second term, there were rumblings of some effort to extend his dictatorship for a third term or maybe longer. I'm convinced this time his supporters might be successful. Why not? They don't care about the Constitution and the Republicans are too wimpy to fight.

“Mr. Serrano has been introducing this amendment, and also an amendment to repeal the 2nd Amendment, every two years since he was elected. Nothing ever comes of it”

While I’m (obviously) against repeal of the Second Amendment, I respect that Serrano is trying to work through our Constitution, at least in these two circumstances (no doubt, when push comes to shove, he’ll always trash the Constitution).

It a good lesson for debating liberals. Tell them to get behind Mr. Serrano’s push to repeal the Second Amendment, and after accomplishing that, they can come back and talk about federal gun control. Obviously, that effort won’t get very far...

So it passes the House, so it passes the Senate, so the President signs it

How does it make it through 38 statehouses when almost 30 are Republican controlled?

The GOP holds a 3 branch majority in 24 states. The democrats hold a 3 branch majority in 13.

You mean republican governors like Chris Christi, who don't mind licking Obama’s boots? That R next to their names mean nothing when White House money flows.

One liberal republican in a democrat controlled state is nothing to be concerned about. It would still have to pass both houses and the governor of 37 more states.

Moochie is going to be the “stand-in” for the third term. Put money on it.

Got news for you, Texas ain’t too wimpy to fight. GOPe might be, but bet’cha there’s more than a little bit of that “Texas feeling” in lots of others.

If the dems take back the House in 2014, they might pass this and if it does that’ll start the SHTF and “we” will return to the Republic of Texas, likely with lots of joiners.

Here in Michigan we’re seriously considering changing to a proportional (by district) electoral change. The Democrats are screaming bloody murder because it will strip the gears on their Detroit fraud machine.

Oh, he'll leave alright, but I believe he will trash the WH and steal more stuff than the Clintons did.

How does Obamacare get ruled constitutional?
