Woman killed, child raped in NY mall carjacking

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — A man previously charged with having child pornography cut an electronic monitoring device off his ankle before carjacking a woman, fatally stabbing her and raping her 10-year-old daughter, authorities said.

David J. Renz abducted the school librarian and her daughter as they left a gymnastics class at a mall in the Syracuse suburb of Clay, about 150 miles west of Albany, on Thursday night, state police said Friday.

Renz bound both victims, raped the girl and drove a short distance to a spot where the girl escaped and was found by a passing motorist, troopers said.

The motorist told 911 dispatchers he saw a man running away from the scene, allowing police to quickly send in officers on the ground and a sheriff's helicopter in the air. Renz was caught a short time later near a wooded area.

It was unclear how the girl escaped or when her mother was killed, authorities said. "We're still trying to piece the timeline together," Trooper Jack Keller said.

The girl was being treated at a hospital Friday. Her mother died from multiple stab wounds.

Renz, 29, had been charged in January with possession of child pornography and allowed to remain free under terms that included staying off the Internet and away from places including schools, parks and arcades.

He lost his job at a supermarket, moved in with his mother and hadn't been able to find other work after his arrest, according to court documents. Federal authorities said he cut his electronic monitoring device off his ankle shortly before Thursday's attacks.

Renz was arraigned Friday on murder, rape and kidnapping charges and was held without bail. The lawyer assigned to his case, Ken Moynihan, didn't return a call seeking comment.

If this woman had a gun she would have been able to save herself and save her daughter the hell of being brutally raped, but hey, according to leftists, guns are bad bad bad. Prayers for this woman’s family and the little girl left behind to suffer with these horrible memories of what she had to endure

Okay, the guy was arrested with a huge collection of child porn. He faces a long time in jail, separated from porn and children so he rapes a child and murders her mother. The child escapes, avoiding being killed herself and prompting the arrest of the murderer. From hindsight, it has a twisted logic. It also has a lot to say about the sub human thought processes of grown men who are obsessed with children as sex objects. Cull the herd.

Too bad that poor lady didn’t have a .45 to stick in his eye socket.

Oh well, another pedophile murderer out running free. Par for the course in NYS.

I’d urge anybody to go up on the net and check how many registered sex offenders are living in their counties.

The number of them will shock you.

This is sick. Libtard gun free zone murder and rape. Guess we know which side the libtards are on, and it ain’t the victims.

weapons are not a guarantee - she may not have been able to save her life, but it’s clear that if she did, she would have had a fighting chance at least.

She might have had a shot, Id rather be armed and take a chance protecting myself than being a sitting duck..if Im gonna go down I am gonna go down fighting, but leftists don’t want people to be armed..they’d rather people “Reason” with criminals..that never works

"...weapons are not a guarantee - she may not have been able to save her life, but it’s clear that if she did, she would have had a fighting chance at least."

Of course what you say is true, and anybody can be taken by surprise. Having said that, I think in general most people, when armed, by virtue of being armed, tend to be somewhat more alert and aware of their surroundings, which can vastly decrease their chances of being caught off guard.

it may not even be fear, but just trying to figure out what flight/fight response to use. It can take people a couple seconds to determine that if they are caught by surprise.

best thing is to probably scream and go on the offensive - groin (either sex), eyes, take a bite out of anything you can get a hold of and rip a chunk of flesh out (yes i know that could be dangerous)...

Yes, the horror that the child experienced..rape, mother's death. And the horror of the mother who realized the evil she was encountering, the danger to her daughter and to her. Too horrible.

These pedophiles MUST be given life in prison...apparently these men are hardwired to fulfill their fantasies, their desire to view child porn, molest, rape and kill children.
They must never be released from prison to mingle with the population. From what I've read, those who have been arrested and served time, were given in depth counseling, and yet they are repeat offenders. We can't take any more chances that our children will be sacrificed, because the courts are unwilling to give these offenders long sentences, aside from the fact that the counseling given while incarcerated and afterward is not effective.

This mobbed up degenerate Andrew Cuomo follows in the footsteps of his crooked father, who has the blood of about 20,000 New York murder victims on his hands as a result of his veto of the death penalty for the 12 years he was Governor.

US States Crime 2004 -2006 Crimes per 100,000 and Ranking
The table below provides the rank of each State's reported rate of crime as compared to the 50 States and the District of Columbia.  1 = the highest reported crime rate and 51 = the lowest. Going from one year to the next a higher number means, that compared to other States, the relative crime rate is increasing and a lower number means that the relative level of crime is decreasing.  The Index category represents the total number of crimes, and since most crimes involve property crime it is weighted towards these types of crime.

The people in NY made this bed...Now they have to lay in it...Until they get rid of this political abomination, I have zero sympathy...

Pedophiles and others are flocking from all across America to this new hunting ground because of the unarmed citizens.

Wait a minute. The movement for same sex marriage is the vanguard for the movement to normalize all sexual deviancy, even child sex. It’s a continuum of liberal thought.

At least he didn’t kill her with a gun. This is a good murder. It was a knife.

What if her 10 year old had a gun as well? A .22 to .32 is easy for a kid to handle, aim and shoot. Those calibers can be very effective in CQB. The little girl is capable of and endowed by her Creator with a right to self-defense. She might have saved both herself and her mom.

So the state is making two arguments when it proposes gun control:

1. guns in the hands of the people are too dangerous.

2. the state will protect you, either before, during or after the fact.

Clearly, any thinking person can see that even if #1. were true, #2. is false, absolutely false. Therefore #1. is false.

Why can’t liberals see this?

I suspect they do, but are too emotionally immature and too enthralled by power to admit it and change.

How about the disgusting irony of the ads and photos next to a story about child porn, femicide, and child rape?

Might there not be some relation between the hyper-sexualization of our society and the behavior of its marginals?
