Posted on 03/15/2013 6:50:59 AM PDT by EXCH54FE
At the opening of CPAC 2013, Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) picked up where he left off in his 13 hour filibuster last week. Paul took off the gloves and went after Barack Obama on indefinite detention, defending the Constitution, and unlawfully killing American citizens. He also spoke on debt and foolish and frivolous spending and when he touched on foreign aid he said, I say not one penny more to countries that are burning our flag.
As he took to the stage with his folders from last weeks filibuster he joked that he was only given twenty minutes, but brought thirteen hours of information.
When he began, he said that there was a message that he wanted to deliver to Obama. However, one person in the crowd yelled out, Dont drone me, bro! Both Paul and the crowd laughed as he said, thats not exactly what I was thinking. However, I think he may have distilled my 13-hour speech into three words. Yes, I know it was technically four, but the point was made.
He did take time to speak on drones and the fact that Obama was not a protector of civil liberties, pointing specifically to his signing into law the National Defense Authorization Act, which allows him to indefinitely detain any and all people he deems to be terrorists, associated with terrorists or potential terrorists. This unlawful law also grants him the ability to do this without due process for the accused.

I LIKE THIS GUY!!!!!
I like the fact that he’s a physician, not a lawyer.
Including our own country, right?
Now that’s what I’m talkin’ about! They hate us(which is apparently a crime) but LUVVVV our $$$$$$$$.
Me Three! He'd better hide his garbage cans and shred his documents . . . the libtards will be all over him like flies at a ribroast . . .
Hell, I live in Ohio . . . I can vote for him 6 times!!!!!
So, we are then paying off those countries that suck up to us gubmint!
We owe them nothing, just as we owe taxes to nobody!
The liberal media, SNL, Leno, Letterman, Kimmel will soon be getting their marching orders. DESTROY RAND PAUL AT ALL COST!!! they will dig up anything and if they don’t find anything they will start making stuff up to smear him.
How about not one penny to countries whose soldiers shoot ours in the back? That would defund Irag and Afghanistan right there.
Didn’t take this guy long to go north!
But . . . but . . . but . . . he’s a looserdopian! A LIBERALtarian! How could this be? HOW COULD THIS BE?
Poor people in rich countries giving money to rich people in poor countries...............
Countries don’t burn flags, as such. Radicals with rent-a-mobs burn flags, and it is hard to tell if they have government sponsorship, or not.
Remember the Iran hostage crisis? The Iranian government clearly sponsored it, but was adamant that they were not. And this is a common enough trick pulled by nations that want “plausible deniability” from international condemnation.
In the case of Iran it was obvious. In most cases it is not.
Iran, in particular, takes it to its logical extreme, by having many individuals announce radically different things, and those that are slapped down are denounced as not giving “authorized” statements. This allows them to speak out of both sides of their mouth.

Good point. Time to pull the DNC’s tax-exempt status.
Not a penny to any country. No where in our founding documents does it even imply the king shall tax its citizens and give their treasure to foreign kings.
“Not a penny to any country. No where in our founding documents does it even imply the king shall tax its citizens and give their treasure to foreign kings.”
Thanks for the snark. It made me smile.
Man!! That’s great.
It’s exactly whats going on.
On this, I Stand With Rand!
