In this day and age the Prodigal Son returns not in repentance but in sin.

This is insane!
It’s like saying I’ve changed my position on cancer since I found out my brother has it.
Damn it when will people wake up!
He needs to say “son, I love you and always will, but I will not approve of activity that God Almighty has condemned.”

In my opinion, in today's version of the prodigal, the prodigal has no need to return to his father, he merely sends the old man a text, informing him he's gay and tells him to put more money in his account.

He adds, he'll bring his latest lover home for a meet & greet at Thanksgiving, if he has time!

The old man texts his son back asking, "which bank R U using now?" Adding, "Ur mom & I can't wait 2 see U & Leslie!"

And we are to read from these stories that when the Prodigal Son returns to his Father, his Father not only forgives him and accepts him, but changes all the rules of the House to accommodate the depravity the Prodigal Son has become accustomed to.
