The Light Comes On and The Roaches Scramble: Companies Forced to Disclose Ties to Iran

As of February 6th of this year, all companies trading on US stock exchanges must file a report with the SEC detailing their business ties to Iran.

Among the offenders, some of whom have never previously been listed in any database tying them to Iran (indicating that they concealed their relations with Iran) are:

Question: Section 219(b) of the Iran Threat Reduction and Syria Human Rights Act of 2012, signed into law on August 10, 2012, specifies that new Section 13(r) of the Exchange Act “shall take effect with respect to reports required to be filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission after the date that is 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act,” which would be February 6, 2013. If an issuer’s periodic report is required to be filed on a date after February 6, 2013 — such as, for example, the 2012 Form 10-K for calendar year filers — is the issuer required to disclose Iran-related business activities pursuant to Section 13(r) if it files the periodic report on or before February 6, 2013?

Answer: Yes. We interpret “reports required to be filed” to include any periodic report with a due date after February 6, 2013, regardless of when the report is actually filed.

Predictably, the lawyers are already whining about having to comply, complaining that Congress isn’t working closely enough with the Office of Foreign Assets Control and the SEC in coming up with this legislation. From the Wall Street Journal:

“There are requirements in the laws for SEC disclosures, but the unfortunate thing is Congress doesn’t appear to have consulted with [the Office of Foreign Assets Control] or the SEC before passing this legislation,” said Judith Lee, chairwoman of law firm Gibson Dunn & Crutcher’s international trade and regulation compliance practice group.

“Not only are the companies trying to figure out what is required, the agencies are too…For somebody like me who has worked in the sanctions area for many years, this is not the best way to go about passing legislation.”

There is no need to buy into this malarkey. What they are REALLY upset about is the fact that companies are having to admit the truth that they have been doing business in and with the world’s foremost sponsor of Jihadist terrorism. This is especially rich coming from Gibson Dunn & Crutcher, a law firm extensively involved in facilitating Shariah-Compliant Finance.

Perhaps the most serious disclosure is the fact that the news agency Thomson Reuters has done business directly with the Iranian government, which pretty much means you can’t trust a thing Reuters publishes about the Iranian threat.

The Obama/Brennan/Hagel/Rice/Power/Huma Abiden group are Sunni and Iran, after Jimmy Carter, the Islamic Republic of Iran, is Shia. They have fought each other for centuries. Obama’s patron was Alwaleed bin-Talal, who, until just recently, was News Corp, Fox, WSJ’s largest private investor (After the Murdoch family at about 39%, Kingdom Holdings 7.8% with Invesco second at 1.8%). Alwaleed is CEO of by far the largest Saudi Corporation, owning lots of Citigroup, AIG, Apple, Cisco, ... We protected the Saudi’s and Kuwait from Saddam. Now they have their men, Obama, Brennan, and Hagel, training and arming the Alwaleed-funded Muslim Brotherhood that has been given Egypt, Libya, Sudan, Algeria, Morocco, and is working hard to finish the job in Syria, almost surrounding Iran, and Israel. This was always Obama’s patron's objective. Obama's skill as a political activist is to follow orders.

Obama's Saudi manager, Khalid al-Mansour, formerly known as Black Panther co-founder Don Warden, described this war on the West over forty years ago during his weekly radio broadcasts, and while he was attending Berkeley's Boalt Hall, and opening a law firm with Bin-Talal as partner. This is Percy Sutton's old friend, and Vernon Jarrett's and Frank Marshall Davis’ and Malcolm X, and Louis Farrakhan's.

This is what's known as a protection racket, albeit a very large one. Our military will protect the Saudis, who effectively tax US citizens while Barack prevents us from developing competitive domestic energy sources. Our new domestic military, the Officers and NCOs now officially approved for the DHS, armed with an essentially unlimited supply of UN-banned hollow point man killing rounds, will keep us docile as Sharia is gradually imposed . We are the white infidel, if you listen to Obama's patron, or the the Rev. Wright, or to Farrakhan. He really has no issue with imposing pain on infidels. You can hear his patron's partner, al-Mansour, exhorting black men in his San Fran Bay Area radio audience to kill white women and their babies, because they are the future soldiers of the infidel. It is amazing to listen to al-Mansour predict this inevitable domination, which includes eventually killing anyone unwilling to submit to Allah, forty years ago. The next predictable step is to weaken Israel sufficiently to encourage Iran to attack, beginning probably with Hezbollah, and ending with medium range missiles. Iran will be so weakened by war that they will submit to whatever the Sunni Muslim Brotherhood, now including Turkey, demands. Barack, playing more golf than ever, will have done his job superbly. The resources of the US will be under the control of a Muslim Brotherhood-friendly global organization, the dream of George Soros.
