Wow, they really ganged up on Cruz and no one defended him.
Durbin said that none of the "rights" in the bill of rights are absolute.
I thought these were God given rights, not rights given to us by the legislature.

Actually, the people gave the legislature their proxy to act on our behalf, and we gave them certain prohibitions (the bill of rights).
And now they are telling us that those rights are going to be limited?

Good for her! I have been re-reading the 5000 Year Leap, and have been reminded of a book originally published in 1828 called The Catechism of the Constitution, where children were taught how to defend the Constitution and WHY it must be defended. You know — things that pretty much are not taught any longer. I downloaded a copy to my Kindle.

Could Leahy have been any more condescending with his assinine remarks about books and the Texas board of education??

Excellent point. Too bad Cruz didn’t seize on that.

And, yes, DiFi, you DO need to be schooled in the constitution. You and all of your Marxist statist cohorts. RINOs, too.

Turban Durban must be thinking “fire in a crowded theater” first amendment concepts.

limited means you don’t swing a dead cat in a crowd, not peacefully carry the dead cat to the pet cemetary.

Think of how radical the SAFFERS of these evil people must be.

the staffers should be identified front and center.

No. She’s a criminal. She knows it.

She (not-so-finestien)and her hubby Richard Blum are up to their necks in corruption from gun running with the Chinese (costco) to land land fraud schemes (the great gold heist and treasure island to name a couple) Feinstein and Blum , The Great Gold Heist, Desert Protection Act

“Equally chilling is Turban Durbin’s statement that these rights ARE NOT absolute”

Needs to be sent to a re-education camp.

How dare this upstart newbie lecture a veteran Senator with 20 years experience in subverting the constitution? Throw the naive newbie bum out! That’s just not the way we do things in this deliberative body. Constitution? Get real.
