a total of four Democratic officials and political operatives have now pleaded guilty to voter fraud-related felony charges in an alleged scheme to steal a New York election.

The latest guilty pleas expose the ease with which political insiders can apparently manipulate the electoral system and throw an election their way, by the forging of signatures of unsuspecting voters that are then cast as real votes.

WHAT...??!! Voter fraud? Can’t be...there’s no voter fraud....all the Democrats tell us so. DUH!! Had the Republican Party and the Romney team had the courage to challenge all of the questionable election results, perhaps, our country would be in a better place!

Here are the MSM rules for covering political scandals where the correlation between the party affiliations of the affected politicians is a little too obvious to ignore.

  1. If the politicians are all Democrats, don't even mention their political affialiation at all, because we wouldn't want to look like we're piling on or taking sides. This line of thought is amplified by the fact that if the unfortunate pols happen to belong to a partcular minority racial category they will undoubtedly be Democrats, and then it's a twofer for the "no piling on" issue.
  2. If the politicians are all Republicans, promote the stuffing out of their party affiliation, starting with the headline and continuing throught pretty much every sentence (or at least paragraph) in the entire story. Oddly enough, the rationale for this is the same as that used in in the Democrat case - see (1) - above.

Since - as a practical matter - Democrat scandals outnumber Republican scandals by about eight to one, the net effect of these rules is that the party affiliation of scandalized politicians is effectively not mentioned.

I’ve noticed that’s the new Dem talking point here in MN.

Dems only count a person voting while impersonating another as “fraud” now.

Felons voting doesn’t seem to matter to them now (we hav hade Dems actually trying to pass laws here to allow felons to legally vote)

My conclusion is they think it’s fine to allow felons to vote NOW, otherwise they’d tighten the law to exclude being able to claim

Ignorance of the law as a valid claim to avoid prosecution.

How many laws have you ever heard of where you can avoid prosecution by claiming “I didn’t know it was illegal” ?

I believe that members of the Religion of Peace have used that very defense on a number of occasions. "I'm very sorry Your Honor, but I didn't know that it was illegal to kill my teenaged daughter for going out on a date with a non-muslim boy."

But I take your point. It used to be that "ignorance of the law is no excuse" but those days are over I guess.

Once you have completed your “obligation to the state” here in Idaho you can vote. And that is a good thing.
