Late last week, Obamacare regulators added more than 800 pages to an ever-growing document that will govern your healthcare. The bureaucrats' work product now prints out to 20,000 pages -- nearly eight times the length of the infamous original bill:

That tower is already taller than Kobe Bryant (see update), and much of the law hasn't even gone into effect yet. According to the Government Accountability Office, Obamacare is projected to add $6.2 trillion to the nation's long-term deficits, despite presidential assurances that it wouldn't add a "single dime" to our red ink:

In the 800 pages just published they assumed authority over about 3 million companies. A tremendous growth in regulation and cost.

this should be challenged on the impossibility of understanding it.

File a court case saying some of the horrible things it does and challenge them to disprove it- there is no way it is possible for people to obey a 20,000 page law.

Lots more pages to come in the future. Every addition will favor one group over another - and cash will grease every Washington hand over those ‘changes’...

The entire problem was that we had too many lawyers with not much to do. So now problem solved!
Have a business? now you need hire more lawyers.

Want to start a business? now you need to hire lawyers.

Not getting healthcare coverage? now you need to hire a lawyer.

When the legislative, judicial, and executive branches of government are full of lawyers, the answer to any problem will be create a solution that will require the maximum possible of lawyers:(

Hey, Guy Benson: How many green trees gave up their green lives to supply their green body parts to the regulators for this initial stack of regulations?

Want to double the National Debt?

Let's all demand our own personal paper copy of the law, delivered to us free.

No government can expect its citizens to obey its laws and not have a copy of them.

No, I don't have a computer or a printer (and couldn't afford to buy the required ink anyway,) and have never heard of a "PDF!"

This act was cobbled together in the back room of Harry Reid's office by lawyers for the unions, health insurers, trial lawyers, pharmaceutical makers and public hospitals. What they ended up with was a legislative Rube Goldberg contraption that delivers a nickel's worth of value for a dollar and none of its namesake's promises.

May want to include the Constitution in with the Ten Commandments, but not just for progressives, for all of Congress and the White House.

Think about how may bureaucrats and how many hours it will take to train them the rules. Just the training will cost a scillion dollars.

Imagine if the Bible had that many pages:

“Now everyone turn their bible to the Book of Timothy number 40, chapter 401, verse 500. We will pause for five minutes while you find the verse.”

Five minutes later: “I’ll read the verse.” “And when they went down to the River Orontes, as referenced in Section C on Antioch, there was an exception for their normal custom as found in the Chapter on Reference Codes for Section 28 in Governing Exceptions. Men, as defined in the Glossary of Terms, heard God’s word.”

Perfect. Thanks.

You need to write some sarcastic rebuttal articles for the conservative media. Maybe even some of the MSM would print a column like this. It needs more widespread readership. We need to mock them to get the message out.

The problem is, most of that 20,000 pages is granting arbitrary discretionary power to the Sec of HHS.
