Kabul, Afghanistan (CNN) -- Five U.S. service members were killed when a helicopter crashed in southern Afghanistan, a U.S. official said early Tuesday.
The chopper went down Monday in the Daman district of southern Kandahar during a rain storm, said Jawid Faisal, a government spokesman for the province.
There was no enemy activity in the area at the time of the incident, according to a statement by the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF).
The U.S. official, who did not want to be identified, did not offer additional information about the victims.

Where is “Code Pink” that was soooooo active when G.W. was in the Whitey House? Now, they seemed to have disappeared. Is the issue of American Military dying in Afghanistan only a Republican issue with Code Pink? I think so.
I hate it that I have become so suspicious, but my first thought was that Obamugabe managed to knock off yet more of our brave fighting men so that they can be replaced by women and pansies.

Yes, he could also have the replacements murdered, but my point is that he wants the capable and brave fighting men to be replaced by those who cannot defend our nation.
Heck, the fact that Americans elected and RE-ELECTED an African communist as president makes me wonder if America is even worth defending anymore.
And we just cut student aid to veterans and servicepersons... in the same Congress that just ensured in-state tuition and student aid for illegals.
There is not much subtlety in the Obama Administration when it comes to showing preferences.
What’s tragic is, we should STAY in Afghanistan and keep the pressure on the terrorists and their training camps. HOWEVER (and that’s a big ‘however’), with a President sympathetic to the terrorist’s cause, WE SHOULD LEAVE because 0bama’s traitorous ROE will only get more of us killed.
Well this must mean Obama won’t be getting many peace awards this year. Now sadly if this were five Afgooni’s he’d be all over it like sh*t on sharia.
Prayers for our brave nearly forgotten soldiers in preposterous conditions and under almost as many threats when they come home as on the battlefield.
