Just wondering? How can you be an ‘American’ presumably of the USA and be a Mexican citizen? If you gave up being a USA citizen so be it and I guess being an ‘American’ can cover a lot of land in the Western hemisphere but in such a case you would have to have dual citizenship. Am I correct?

Several countries offer now the option of dual citizenship. You don´t have to renounce one to get the other. A lot of loop holes for tax purposes
