Cybercast News Service ^ | March 6, 2013 | Susan Jones

The federal government is tapping experts for its “B-24 Project.” It may sound like a new jet fighter, but in this case, “B-24” pertains to nutrition advice for infants and toddlers up to 24 months old.

The project will produce “unified federal dietary guidance for children from birth to 24 months based on the best available science,” said Kevin Concannon, the Agriculture Department’s Under Secretary for Food, Nutrition and Consumer Services.

Concannon noted that current federal dietary recommendations are designed for people two years and older, and therefore the B-24 project “will fill an important gap.” …

Wow. Multiple millennia of human existence and the federal government wants to micromanage this now? Government just grows like a cancer.

Susan Jones needs to learn that the ‘B’ in B-24 stands for ‘Bomber’, not Fighter! Duh

Don’t you see? We’re all cattle and would have no idea if we weren’t told what to do.

So gentlemen. What is the most nutricious food for infants? Breast milk?

‘Don’t be silly. Brawndo infant formula’s got what brat’s crave.’ Undersecretary Concannon

‘Assuming it survives us—Brawndo, yeah. It’s got electrolytes.’

Dietary guidelines for babies, birth to 24 months? That’s wonderful! My only question is how will you inform the babies of what they should be eating? I hear that many in this age group read and comprehend at a lower level than New York high schoolers.

First, Where in the Constitution is the authorization for the Federal Government to spend money to pretend to be babies' mommy?

Next: I have not been able to find anything the Government has done right since winning World War II. Why would anyone believe they will even be close to right on this.

It's hard to believe that I, my parents, and grandparents ever reached adulthood without Nanny Government's guidance.

Considering the source, no doubt the diet includes generous servings of Kool Aid.

A sensible start to dismantling the bureaucratic colossus would be to eliminate or drastically downsize the Dept. of Ag. Why should it have anything to do with food pyramid schemes? Even if they had public health value, those should fall under the scope of FDA or HHS.

Other functions, such as managing national forests, could be absorbed by the Dept. of the Interior. Food inspections should be left to the States.

Heil Odinga, Heil Bloomberg.

The Nazis, whatever you want to call them, in AmeiriKa wants to raise your children, starting with ol Double Wide Ghetto Trash in the White Hut. They ARE the Cancer.

And our WII, Facebook and Tweeter society will let them. It is just EASIER that way. Why put up a fight and go to all that trouble of having to listen to them ol folks on how to raise children in a proper manner. Let the FERAL Government do it, what could it hurt....????

Yes. Complete and total idiots. Facts, reason, history and logic does not encumber the mind of the big government liberal mind.

My Mom built B-24’s during WWII. But I don’t know what was in the commissary. Probably crackers and bologna.

Not only that but it is often unhelpful. Why can’t private medical science keep up with what’s best? Why do 20 and 30 year old ideas have to keep dominating the scene, sucking up our own tax money to do so? I’d much sooner believe what, say, the Mayo Clinic has to say about wise diets than what Washington does.

Uh no...that’s what wives are for...lol

Government is going to impose dietary guidelines on infants, eh? Sounds like they’re starting small and going to work on 3 year olds next then go up the line. They think they’re sneaky little bastards that are smarter than the rest of us and that we don’t know what they’re up to...these guys just never stop.

So - if a baby makes it past the government approved baby killing factories, the government wants to dictate how the survivor is fed.
