Gabby Giffords' husband (Mark Kelly) buys AR-15
Breitbart ^ | 3/9/13 | AWR Hawkins

Mark E. Kelly, gun-control proponent and husband to former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords, recently purchased an AR-15 (an "assault weapon," he called it)—which he now says he intended as an illustration of the need for more stringent gun laws.

Kelly reportedly bought the AR-15 and a 1911-style semi-automatic pistol at Diamondback Police Supply in Tucson, Arizona.

Various sources contacted Breitbart News once Kelly made the purchase, and after we began investigating the details surrounding the purchase, Kelly announced on his Facebook that he was not going to keep the AR-15, which he has yet to pick up from the store.

"Kelly reportedly bought the AR-15 and a 1911-style semi-automatic pistol"

Wise choices. Especially should another 'rat, Jared type, attack.

Mark Kelly should be ashamed anyway...dragging his injured wife around, having her give a painful, pitiful plea to change our Constitution via statute.

There is a constitutional way of changing the Constitution, it is by the amendment process.

If these people succeed in getting the 2nd amendment changed via statute, what in the world will keep some other "aggrieved" group from mounting a successful challenge against ANY other part of the Constitution?

Mr Kelly and Ms Giffords should just stay home, live in peace and let us do the same.

So he’s saying that astronauts should be prohibited from buying firearms because they’re unstable?

He might be a test pilot and an astronaut, but he doesn’t understand the law. I wonder what part of instant he doesn’t understand. If he doesn’t want the gun then leave it with the FFL on consignment.

Even though she’s not in Congress any more, she’s getting a government pension I’m sure (plus disability probably)... so they’re officially part of the “government ruling class” which makes them “special”. They don’t have to live by the same standards we low-life citizens have to adhere to.

Mark E. Kelly, ... recently purchased an AR-15 (an "assault weapon," he called it)—which he now says he intended as an illustration of the need for more stringent gun laws.

Apparently he's a convicted felon or he has been adjudicated mentally incompetent and the NICS check didn't flag him. Sounds like we need better database laws.

Wouldn't be surprised to find that Kelly also has the kiddie porn ~ that it's not just a koinkydink that he used that old 'research' excuse.

Wonder if he'd consent to a full search of his premises and files!

Guy like that really needs to prove that he's honest.

What happened to Gabby Giffords was a tragedy. What her husband is doing to her now, dragging her around as a spokespuppet for his political ambitions is an abomination.

When your wife is injured you care for her, not exploit her. Mark Kelly would need years of rehabilitation just to work his way up to flaming POS.

“BUT he was busted for the effing hypocrite that he is before he could play with his new toy.”

Heh, heh, have you NO pity, no empathy, no compassion nor understanding for this poor suffering man?

I didn’t think so. Neither do I.

So he was a straw purchaser?

“Then why buy it? Tucson PD doesn’t have the money to buy their own?”

Well interestingly enough they probably don’t. My younger brother is a cop with Tuscon PD. They are having funding and staff issues at the moment. A single free AR-15 isn’t going to do anything to alleviate that problem.

Actually, she was injured on the job ~ but so far she doesn’t seem to be any more disabled than she was before the injury. A good workman’s comp fraud investigator could probably bust her down in no time.

so is he buying these guns to terrify his disabled wife?

I wouldn’t care if he’s buying it to protect his wife. that would make sense.

HE’S NO DOUBT GOING FOR A POLITICAL CAREER NOW THAT HE’S A WASHED UP ASTRONAUT.

I can’t wait for the National Inquirer to do a John edwards expose on Kelly coming out of a hotel visiting a woman he’s having an affair with...I know its unfair, but that’s just the sense I get out of this guy.
