John McCain needs to RETIRE?
March 9, 2013 | princess Leah

Posted on 03/09/2013 8:16:18 AM PST by princess leah

This week marked an earthquake of a seismic movement within the Republican ranks and the results has been mostly positive. However, as a result of Rand Paul standing up for our Constitutional rights, he shone the light around the Washington insiders and one man in particular looks exposed for all his political pride. That man is John McCain. He is an old, bitter white man who lost a Presidential election back in 08 and now sees his power slipping away and REFUSES to embrace and encourage THE RIGHT THING which is WHAT REPRESENTS AMERICAN PEOPLE.

He's already 76. Unless he's Strom Thurmond, he won't be in Congress much longer.

But I'm reminded of Frank Lautenberg who got elected to the Senate by hinting that his 72-year-old opponent was too old for the job. He's now 89 himself and doesn't show any inclination to leave any time soon.

And we were implored to put the Maverick in the White House in 2008? Good grief what has the GOP become?

It was time for McCain to retire YEARS ago! He’s the poster boy for term limits!

FLUSH THE JOHN!

... Johnny and Teddy were Senators
On opposite sides of the aisle
They got together and drafted a bill
Guaranteed to make illegals smile
Amnesty was their game – and they had no shame

Johnny and Senator Feingold
Gave campaign finance a try
But then the highest court in the land
Said the 1st amendment must apply
Gotta play by the rules – now Johnny looks like a fool

Johnny and Mr. Obama
They both agree Gitmo should close
But bringing terrorists into the USA
Is a plan that we oppose
No, they don’t belong – and Johnny’s got it all wrong

Now Johnny and Senator Lieberman
Got together on cap and trade
Anemic hands across the aisle
Gonna send the country to its grave
It’s time to let him know – old Johnny’s gotta go

Johnny believes Global Warming
Limousine Liberals and all
Congressional junkets to Copenhagen
Everybody’s havin’ a ball
Just ask Al Gore - Johnny knows the score

S & L Man Charlie Keating
He came to Johnny one day
Said “the government boys are sniffing around
How much to make ‘em go away?”
Did Johnny take a bribe to join the Keating 5?

Now fast-forward 20 years later
Banks are in trouble again
Johnny says, “Let’s bail ‘em out
It’s just a trillion – or maybe ten.
Let’s put some wind in their sails – ‘cause they’re too big to fail.”

We know there’s oil in Alaska
Drilling won’t cause any harm
But Johnny agrees with the tree-hugging geeks
Gas is gonna cost a leg and an arm
Johnny why can’t you see what’s good for you and me?

Now everyone knows about ACORN
They get lots of taxpayers’ dough
Prostitution rings and voter fraud
And home loans to any old schmoe
No matter ACORN’s crimes – Johnny thinks they’re just fine

We’re tired of hearin’ your flip-flops
We’re tired of hearin’ your lies
You may think we’re all dummies but you can’t
Pull the wool over our eyes
You’re career’s hit a snag - so start packin’ your bags

‘Cause Johnny, you’ve worn out your welcome
It’s time to bid DC goodbye
Go write a book or learn to cook
And eat a little humble pie
Just ask Sheriff Joe – he says you gotta go

Yeah, go Johnny, go – it’s time to hit the road.
Good-bye
(to the tune of Frankie & Johnny) http://towncriernews.blogspot.com/search?q=Terry+anderson+song+McCain

For those that have Facebook you should see the 10,000+ comments saying much the same thing. People are mad, rightfully so.

Lautenberg has announced that he will not run for another term.

Thanks for the info. Now I'm wondering if he would have done that if he didn't face what could be a strong challenger in the primaries.

He won’t. Too cushy a gig. - Like many before him, he will hang on until he turns into a rock; long after he deports himself like a buffoon while fancies himself leaving a “legacy”. You know. “Career of public service” and all that.

“John McCain has lived a good life off the Govt. teat, and he could retire and continue to so so.”

He’s also been living off his wife’s teat, she being a “beer distributor heiress” and all. And they’ve left us with their fat pig daughter, the one with no brain and a big mouth. The fruit didn’t fall very far from the tree!

But over time like almost everyone, he was assimilated by the beltway culture and became one of them.

Exactly! That is why the founders sort of missed the boat by not including term limits either in the original constitution or the first amendments. So I believe there should be a movement started for the 28th Amendment to limit the terms of Representatives and Senators to Congress. That is the ONLY thing that will cure this disease known as Potomac Fever! While we are at it why not add a 29th Amendment that states that Congress cannot exempt themselves for laws that they pass.

McCain and others should have been history after Keating Five episode. That alone should have dismissed him as a candidate.

“Lautenberg has announced that he will not run for another term.”

Glad to hear it! He is the last of the “Old RAT Bastard’s Club” in the Senate to “elect to spent time with his family.” Now he, Levin, Rockefeller and Harkin can get together at the “Rat Rest Home” and congratulate themselves for all the damage they did to our country. Maybe Chamblis will join them, birds of a feather and all!

Some state constitutions have provisions for impeachment or recall of senators, but a federal court case in 1967 in Idaho concerning Sen. Frank Church killed that off.

That SOB that gave us the "Church Admendment" not to go after Dictators? Oh I could scream...

But back to McCain....

I say we have a petition, even if it does nothing as a vote of no-confidence in AZ (and /or Nationwide) asking for his resignation.

A couple of Million Signatures just to rub his nose in it, and to tell him we have had enough, and this is our form of redress...

Where do I send $100 to get this going since I am not an AZ resident...

“...If he retired today it would be 13 years too late....”
Yep! No doubt about it. He has hurt this country badly.
I thank him for his military service to this country and it now past time to do a good service to the country again by GTHO of the Senate. Retire, don’t run or die. I don’t care which he does as long as he is gone from there. Arizona, and America, deserve so much better.
