Marco Rubio Thinks Jeb Bush Will Ultimately Come Around On Immigration

. . . . . .

“I thought about that issue a lot and [went] back and forth on it before I signed on to my principles and I just concluded that it’s not good for the country in the long term to have millions and millions of people who are forever prohibited from becoming citizens,” Rubio told reporters on his way to a Senate vote. “That hasn’t worked out well for Europe.”

Responding to a question from TPM, Rubio said he did not think Bush’s surprise move would make it harder to convince conservatives to accept an eventual path to citizenship.

“I don’t think so — we have what we have,” Rubio said.

But Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), another member of the bipartisan Senate group working on a bill, expressed serious concern Tuesday about Bush’s rightward turn — especially given his prominent reputation as an immigration reformer.

“Scott Walker-Ted Cruz”

Very good! I would LOVE to see that happen. You know, some democratic primary candidates were already starting to run about this time during Bush’s second term.

Cruz is eligible (mother was a citizen and thus he was at birth) if you’re worried (birthers might not think so I don’t know or care about them but I know what the courts think).

That seems like the obvious dream ticket to me, with Walker in the top spot.

I would probably change my tune when faced with 4 years of Shillary or Martin O’Malley (just like 95% of Freepers ended up voting for Romney and McCain before that) but I’d seriously consider not voting for a GOP ticket that had that fat tub off lard Chrissy on it especially in the top spot.

I loathe that obese traitor, I mean he freaking HELPED OBAMA WIN (to keep the job open for himself in 2016? He also gave a speech about himself at the convention, his ego is bigger than his gigantic gut) even friggin Jeb seems 10 times better. I so regret saying “give him a chance” when the knee jerk reaction to his run for Governor was that he was an unacceptable RINO.

If it were Jeb/Rubio then Jeb would have to change his voter registration to Wyoming or something.

Rubio is sincere, he means well with the immigration reform proposal......he is just wrong. It will not help the country; it will not help the Republicans.

Jeb’s “about face” on immigration is nothing more than political posturing in hopes of a 2016 run at the WH.

In the event he sould accidentally get elected, he’ll revert to form. This is what Rubio is saying.

Thanks impy,
It only works if it is Walker-Cruz, not the other way around.

Walker is the accomplished governor who ran a state and took the Dems on in a head on fight on unions spending, and trapped and beat the crap out of them.

Cruz is the new boy, young, very smart, aggressive, conservative and Hispanic and he won his Senate Seat.

No pair of Republicans compares with them for that race.

I don’t trust Rubio. He wants amnesty and jumped on board with Team Romney too fast.

not even going to consider the possiblities for the 'R's ...

firstly, by next year, their dirt, or at least manufactured topsoil will be revealed and we'll be on to new candidates...

secondly, itll literally take a miracle to have an actual candidate that is anywhere near ready to do whats necessary...*if* we survive that long...

sure, i'll still do things like 'normal'...but Im staying focused a LOT more on the next 24 hrs, rather than the *possible* 24 months...

(birthers might not think so I don’t know or care about them but I know what the courts think)

The courts also think that ObamaCare is Constitutional as long as the White House lies and tells the American people it's a penalty when in court they call it a tax. The courts also believe killing a baby before it's born is quite okay too.

Birthers don't much care about what the courts say either. They pretty much look at the US Constitution.

Most Birthers I know are not settled one way or the other on the definition of Natural Born Citizen therefore some say Cruz may be eligible while others may say Rubio is not.

Where the Birthers do stand UNITED (and I for one stand with them on this) is when we have a pResident who snubbs his nose at the US Constitution by blatenly refusing to even show his birth certificate and prove his eligibility. Hey, the man may be as legally eligible to be President as you and I but where you may differ with the Birthers is that you may feel it's not important to dot the "I"s and cross the "T"s and you're quite okay with taking the man's words over actual documentation EVEN AFTER the man posted a very questionable and a forged document on the White House website.

Well, this nation is not run on taking someone's word. We are not a banana republic yet, we require documentation.

Obama may very well have been born in the US and he just may have the documents to prove it, but he refuses to show those documents because he wants to show the world that the US Constutution no longer matters by refusing to abide by it.

Obama is doing to the US Constitution exactly what Saddam Hussein did to the UN Reslolutions and we know how seriously the American people took the UN after years of Saddam snubbing them. The Birthers do not want to see the US Constitution become another laughingstock of the world like the UN has become.

Why would Obama do it?

Just look where we are now... GUN CONTROL.

Sorry, I beg to differ with you.

Already am stuck with Obama. Don't blame me. I voted for the conservative Tea Party candidate.
