The two-term chairman of the Minnesota College Republicans on Wednesday became the latest from his party to support legalizing gay marriage in the state.

Ryan Lyk told The Associated Press he wants people to know that not just Democrats support gay marriage. He released a statement of support in conjunction with Minnesotans United, the political group pursuing a gay marriage bill that could get a vote later this spring at the Capitol.

Lyk has twice been elected to the top post of a group with 20 chapters statewide and several hundred members. He is the highest-ranking state GOP leader so far to break with the party’s official stand against same-sex marriage.

Peer pressure at work. He didn't want people to think him uncool, so his stance "evolved." When shall he support same-blood marriage? Ya know, to be edgy and cool.

I saw one of the college republicans on the History channel show “How the states got their shape” One of the people they had on the show up against a democrat was a college “republican”. He said he supports gay marriage because he wants to get married some day.

The college infection is deep.

They have taken over the college republicans pretty much nationwide.

The Bible calls these lovers of sodomites “reprobate” as well.

“Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.” (Romans 1:31,32)

God hates fornication (sex outside of marriage, when neither party is married). And there is no marriage apart from God-ordained marriage. Anything else is counterfeit, false, a lie.

People who support Sodomite “marriage” will just think these “Republicans” are just saying, “Me too!” Gay marriage supporters are overwhelmingly, massively, DemonRAT, so Republicans who do this are not winning any friends.

However, they are succeeding in alienating social conservatives.

Maybe the RINO party does not think that Conservatives count for anything any more, and so they’re just trying to be “DemonRAT Lite”.

So, where the DemonRATS are communistic, the RINOs are socialistic, etcl

Why are they called “Log Cabin” Republicans?

Is it because they take the Log in their Cabin?

In 2012, Minnesota voters rejected a state constitutional amendment defining marriage as one-men-one-women.

He's a college student and I've said often this is a generational thing. This issue is lost in the culture war. The tipping point happened long ago as clear from the polling data of younger Americans. As they become voting age, the shockwaves and fallout are just reaching you and others.

You've collectively failed to pass along your traditional marriage value to succeeding generation. A lot of that came through observation as their parents, even grandparents, failed to sustain their traditional heterosexual marriages providing fertile ground for the "it's no big deal" and charges of hypocrisy.

We probably tipped on immigration too, when we rightly rejected McCain/Bush amnesty, and Republicans will become something of a permanent minority in this century. Cities, no matter how financially disastrous or crime riddles, will dominate their states and, consequently, our federal elections as well.

It says something that the Republican brand is so tarnished that even abject failure and unending misery is not enough to move voters to consider alternatives to their Democratic Party masters.

Well, if the “culture war” is lost, and the “makers vs. takers” threshhold is broken, and demographics portend a one-party banana republic state... the question then becomes whether America itself is even worth salvaging at this point. The common answer is usually yes, for the children and grandchildren. But if they are anything like this College Republican creep, I’ll be leaning “no.”

Ryan Lyk has just admitted that he is a moron with little knowledge of and even less appreciation of 5000 years of recorded human history.

If his ilk is now the voting majority, then the government has shown it no more capable of defining marriage and should cede it to the churches.

Let the political class satisfy themselves with writing "civil union" laws or whatever the hell else they want to call their new invention.

To call a relationship between two homosexuals a “marriage”
is a conflict of terms. A marriage, by definition, is a long term relationship between a man and a woman. I am sick of this small minority trying to legitimize their sick
activities!

Yep. We've ignored the destruction of the family through serial marriage and wide-spread no-fault divorce. The horse left the barn long ago. Same-sex abomination is just an extension of what has been tolerated in this country for a long, long time. And like it or not, conservatives have ignored it almost as much as liberals, probably because so many of US are on Spouse #3.
