Artists are a dime a dozen.

I haven’t read Superman comics since I was a kid, but Orson Scott Card is a major science fiction writer; his “Ender’s Game” is a genuine classic of the genre.

Card is one of the best science fiction writers around. Why is he working on a comic book?

“Card, whose work inspired the upcoming science fiction film Enders Game, opposes gay marriage and has said the gay lifestyle is a “choice.”

He spoke truth and for that he is blacklisted in Hollywood.
Hopefully he’ll stick to his guns and not go over to the darkside like Eastwood.

The homosexual lobby bullies people into obedience to their will, but don't you dare call it McCarthyism.

Why not?

Compare the box office for movies based on comic book characters against the box office of movies adapted from “fine literature” (AKA “Oscar bait”). You’ll find at least a couple of extra zeros in the gross for the superhero action flick, compared to the gross for the literary “film”.

I believe he’s a “Superman” fan.

“Adventures of Superman” is going to be a new digital anthology, with chapters coming out every week. DC solicited a wide variety of writers to contribute; it’s a standalone book, so none of the creators have to be concerned with previous continuity.

I knew it would come to this. Card is being attacked for his personal opinion, and since they can’t personally attack everybody in the US for their personal opinions they’ll find some high-profile writer.

I hope there is a big backlash over this. Reading what writers went through in the Soviet Union for the slightest deviation from the Stalinist line is horrifying.

They seem to be trying to push this issue with Superman. I saw a short on Cartoon Network Latin America the other day along these lines.

Here it is on YouTube:

The clip I saw starts at 2:38 and runs to 2:53.

The rest of the video is kind of boring.

Because comic books have come a long way from being campy and unserious.

Everything is a belief system. The separation of church and state leaves our children’s minds open the an alternative belief system.

It isn’t about tolerance, but mind control. You must agree with us.

Indeed, the homosexual activist movement is another “winnowing fork”,

separating the wheat to be gathered into the barn
from the chaff which will be thrown in the unquenchable fire.

...and this is why DC comics has failed in recent years to reach the big screen.

this does not bode well for the superman reboot.
