They should have been in theatre.
Better yet, contact your congress critter or senator for a private tour of U.S. Congress in the Capitol Building. The groups are modest sized, the staffs are fairly knowledgeable, you get to ride the private subway from the SOBs or COBs and, best of all, you actually get to see and learn something.
This is well known in government circles as the Washington Monument ploy; at the local level it’s called the firehouse ploy (whenever hishonor wants to frighten the rubes into handing over more of their money, he/she has the council start holding hearings to deliberate which firehouse/EMS stations will need to be closed). In the schools, they threaten to shut down athletics. Nothing new here.
Gee...and all these years, I thought it was OUR house, not that grifter and his beards house!
Did Obamas cancel the White House public tours because of Hugo Chavez’s death...
or
That Chavez died on the anniversary of Stalin’s death
decisions decisions
So.....Where are the ‘lawmakers telling the Admin that since the house is closed, their state will cease sending tax money?
Afterall, why fund a closed ‘business’?
What jerks.
This is so petulant, just like a selfish child who doesn’t get his own way. Please God, deliver us from this ridiculously foolish imposter who has NO business being president.
This is getting so obvious even the low information voters are going to start “getting it.”
Camp David to be declared surplus property unless utilized for 60 days a year, I hope.
Good one! Excellent cover story, while the white hut mourns Chavez.
MMMMM, I wonder if the obama’s will cancel their vacations?
A record high in spitefulness and small-mindedness.....
More propaganda against the cuts. What does the White House tours have to do with the cuts? Come on now. How much could it cost to tour a few people through the White House? They are stopping them to make it look like everything is going to stop because of the cuts.
Congressman: No Golf for Obama Until White House Tours Resume
National Review:
“Congressman Louie Gohmert (R-TX) has filed an amendment to the House GOPs six-month continuing resolution that would bar federal funds from being spent on President Obamas golf outings until public tours of the White House start up again.
“Earlier today, the White House announced it was cancelling public tours beginning March 9 as a result of spending cuts mandated by sequestration.”
Finally! Someone stands up and takes a stand against this lunacy!
The best revenge is to pin it on Obama and the Dems. Email these articles and post it over and over again on every website they show up on.
It’s Obama’s fault.
If I were a conservative Congressman, I’d take that busload of kids from my state who wanted to tour the White House and we’d stand at the door with some Fox News cameras and ask to tour “the Peoples’ House.” It would make some really s****y “optics” for them to be turned away.
It’s past time that conservatives learn to fight back.
