The Obama administration denied an appeal for flexibility in lessening the sequester’s effects, with an email this week appearing to show officials in Washington that because they already had promised the cuts would be devastating, they now have to follow through on that.
In the email sent Monday by Charles Brown, an official with the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service office in Raleigh, N.C., Mr. Brown asked “if there was any latitude” in how to spread the sequester cuts across the region to lessen the impacts on fish inspections.
He said he was discouraged by officials in Washington, who gave him this reply: “We have gone on record with a notification to Congress and whoever else that ‘APHIS would eliminate assistance to producers in 24 states in managing wildlife damage to the aquaculture industry, unless they provide funding to cover the costs.’ So it is our opinion that however you manage that reduction, you need to make sure you are not contradicting what we said the impact would be.”

Wouldn't surprise me in the least to see that this administration is working to increase droughts, wildfires, mudslides, hurricanes, tornado activity, floods, and flu to blame it all on "global climate change caused by industrialization and dependency on fossil fuels".
It is, especially in light of the handouts to Islamist supremacist jihadists.

Hold congressional hearings and get the government officials sworn in under oath. You CAN kick him out for the ensuing coverup when they start telling lies again to defend the administration.

All for 2.5% of projected spending (?) which only half ($44 billion) of the reduction has to happen this year, vs. what - 3.8 trillion in yearly Federal spending?

I had to laugh when I heard Rush and the Fox talking heads discussing this as the realization...they are stopping just short of what it is...
He is manufacturing THE CRISIS. Boehner is out there now already saying there won’t be a government shut down at the end of the month, my post from the other day predicts otherwise... the 0bama plan is in motion and there is no stopping it now.
Keep in mind this little dog and pony show we’ve watched since the election has been nothing but fear mongering. We offered him closing ‘loopholes’ and he refused, now the democrats want the ‘loopholes’ too. There is no negotiating ....he does not want compromise etc.
