41% of Dems think president should have power to kill suspected American terrorist on American soil

“On his own.” To be clear, they think he should have the power to do this “on his own.” This is what years of screeching during the Bush era about “the unitary executive” has come to.

A drone was spotted near NYC today.

Waiting for one to get in the way of air traffic. That really scares me..

Y’know, if he’s on American soil, and not a “clear, and present danger” you need to arrest him - and I have been arguing that it was okay to kill Americans working for Al Qaeda or the Taliban over-seas.

whatever power they give their guy, our guy will use as his startign point next time.

The MSM will make sure that is not possible. This is what happens when we live inside a propaganda machine.

“””41% of Dems think president should have power to kill suspected American terrorist on American soil”””

0% of dems supported Bush doing the same thing.

You can always count on the Left to be incapable of applying historical perspective.

And rock stupid in the critical thinking skills area.

Ask a leftist: So when a Republican President nominates Rush Limbaugh to head the committee that determines which Americans should be liquidated, you’ll be ok with that, too?

Evil, evil people.

A SUSPECTED terrorist. When Bush targeted actual NON-AMERICAN al-Qaeda members OVERSEAS, the left went berserk and said they had constitutional rights to a fair trial.

Beat me to it.

Or when they malfunction and crash into neighborhoods.

Personally, I think anyone who believes that Presidents. Dem and Pub, haven’t been killing ‘suspected terrorists’ for a couple hundred years now is kidding themselves.

There is a reason for compartmentalized security clearances.

The media had journalists (including Time) who were in communication with Al Qaida. They didn’t want their “objective” anti-American agents being exposed and accused of treason in war time.

They didn't even support the tapping of phone lines or waterboarding (which our own soldiers experience as a part of training).

Then again, they were ok with the war crime torture, abuse, and murder of a POW named Momar Gaddafi (Sec. of State Hillary Clinton boasted "WE came, WE saw, HE DIED!!!"

It depends on what your definition of “terrorist” is now doesn’t it?

They have the same ATC system on board. They would show up to the controllers and on board an airliner as an aircraft. They thought about all that years ago when drones were near missing aircraft in Iraq.

They gave lip service to outrage.

There are plenty of Republicans here who are outraged at this and yet *still* defend the War on Terrorism.

There are plenty of people on both sides of the aisle who excuse government overreach when *their* party does it, but scream when the other party does.

The truly outraged people are those who either did not make excuses when “their party” did it, or who did—but have since repented of it and refuse to do so any longer.

Suspsected American Terrorist = can you say “Freeper”.

Are we ready to repeal the Patriot Act yet (for starters)?

What a switch that highlights the “moral” flexablity of those who call themselves members of the democratic party.

I suppose the real story here is the fact that we are indeed at war with ourselves. Democrats don’t mind unbridled power so long as it is in their man’s hands. Many republicans feel the same way. What we can’t stand or trust is each-other.

I suppose its just a matter of time before we start going after each other. Democratic crazies seem to be the most proactive, although their targets tend to be mostly other democrats.

Sooner or later their radical actions won’t seem so crazy to a growing share of members of both political factions. The Hostility within our hearts is already here in the form of a political Civil War. Frankly its only a matter of time and pressure before that war becomes violent.

They just keep raising the stakes.
