in all fairness white kids bully too but not usually lethally
i have taught mine to NEVER bully but to stand up for the weak
i suspect this was a minority laden community...given the barbarity or these were confused feral white trash sorts who wish they had been born black
whitebread nation ..is very very very sensitive about bullying to the point that tattletelling and snitching openly even in middle school is not shameful
when i grew up only girls and future cakeboys snitched
we live in a paradox...an overly sensitive zero tolerance uber PC system on one hand and basically a jungle freeforall on the other
the latter is why where I grew up all whites go private or home and so do many black kids whose parents care
but where I live now where our “blacks” are Eddie George and Clarence Thomas sort of black kids our boys live in an over the top any masculine aggression is to be thwarted mentality... with little adult male presence in the schools
you should see me at parent teacher conferences....I might as well be a Viking raider landing on the east coast of England circa 800 AD given how squeamish those little girl teachers are about how to deal with boys...it's crazy
the best defense from bullies is an older ally...it is a damn shame this little fella had none
most disturbing is how kids roughly in his age group would think stomping someone already down is appropriate
i grew up in a fairly hard blue collar neighborhood till 15...and we woulda never done that
there is little more poignant than to realize the loneliness and fear that guy musta felt beaten to death...waters my eyes up a bit to be honest...we have all had to deal with being picked on or isolated or whupped
to be beaten to death just for the sake of it is horrible
i hope God gave him comfort quick as he could
kids die and suffer world over..that is the one thing spending a lot of years in harsh faraway places I never got used to
and folks who have kids or close nieces and nephews know how sharp stories like this sting
For the short time that my kids were in school, they found themselves in an impossible situation. If they defended themselves, they’d get into as much trouble as the perps. “Go to a teacher,” is a joke. Both of my kids went to multiple teachers and the administration for help and there was none.
In both of their situations, dad and I finally gave the go-ahead to put an end to it themselves. We told them that we’d have their backs and we’d pull ‘em out to home school again any time.
Most admins in the rural areas of Texas do have common sense and will work with you if you’re reasonable. (The admins at my kids’ school knew that dad and I would be the first to come down on our own ‘little darlings’ if they screwed up.)
