Quick Start guide to the Quinn & Rose Show: http://www.warroom.com/quick_start.php
AAARRRAAAUUUGGGHHH!
Friday morning around ten oldest son called and woke me up to tell me he put his Buick over a hill off Noblestown Road going into Carnegie. Happened about ten Thursday night. Our tow truck guy pulled him out and said he was good to go.
So 3AM Friday morning youngest son takes the car to work at Robinson Town Center. He gets there and hears a hissing and then BOOM!
Right rear tire exploded because a suspension part was rubbing on the tire. He and another guy put the spare donut on and he gets home.
He didn't realize the suspension part was rubbing and thought the tire had been damaged when it went off the road.
Friday afternoon I take it to the tire place and get a new tire put on. Driving it home I hear the rubbing and see the suspension is bent.
Spent the weekend figuring out what it needed, made a temp fix and this morning I'm taking it to our mechanic to see what he can do.
Icing on the cake: We were checking on mrs p6's uncle's house yesterday afternoon and found the furnace had broken and been off. No pipes frozen, everything is OK BUT today besides fixing the car I have to go help with the furnace.
Did I mention I'm crabby, LOL!
Hope you caught the opening! BO propsed the sequester, now the WH admits it even though BO denied it.
IOW BO LIES!
Oh no! You and sons have my sympathies on the vehicle situation! I hope you get it resolved.
I missed the opening, unfortunately. Gotta start taking my shower at night!
Don’t need a tin foil hat to take seriously what Jim was saying about Iran setting of a nuke in NK! Dittos to all five US carriers docked together and the posibility of a strike taking them all out.
I agree. I had heard about five of our carriers being in port together from another news program. When the sailors-to-be are going through boot camp, they learn the history of the navy and they learn about Pearl Harbor and other attacks. The navy hasn’t forgotten what happened at Pearl Harbor, which makes it all the more ominous that they have five of our carriers in port at the same time. It’s crazy. They are sitting ducks. There are other US nuclear carriers in west coast ports and Japan, but five in one place on the east coast is very very strange.
I believe Barry to be guilty of treason. Where is our congress?
Oh, no! Sounds like you had a baaad weekend.
Hope everything works out.
Did any of you hear the ad for WPGB? Disgusting. “W” for ‘wingnut’? “B” for ‘goober’? “B” for ‘buttboy’?
I sent this e-mail:
I just heard the ad for WPGB 104.7. In it, they label the call letters as “W for ‘wingnut’”, “G for ‘Goober’” and “B” for ‘butt boy’”. Is this the kind of juvenile, unprofessional garbage that you want associated with your station? WPGB has one of the best lineups on the market. If somebody in your advertising department does not like the politics of the station, I suggest he or she either keep their opinions to themselves and be thankful they are gainfully employed or look for a different job. With their obvious lack of professionalism, they are lucky they have a job at all.
Yeah, I thought that was pretty offensive. I wonder if Q&R are aware of it?
Good morning! I know I’m posting this late & after the fact, but I have a little radio for the shower so I never miss 104.7, no matter if I shower at night or in the a.m. They’re cheap at Bed, Bath, and Beyond, something like ten bucks!
Oh I’d LOVE that! But we live in an area out in the boondocks and surrounded by hills. Can’t pick up anything but the crummy local station. That’s why I listen on the laptop or on my tablet. I’ve toyed with the idea of taking the laptop into the bathroom, but don’t want to ruin it! lol!
Maybe i can just run the speakers into the bathroom!
Bet you can get some wireless speakers.
Yeah, that is scary.
