Secretary of State John Kerry announced Sunday that the United States would provide $250 million in assistance to Egypt after Egypt’s president promised to move ahead with negotiations with the International Monetary Fund over economic reforms.
In a statement issued after his two-hour meeting with President Mohamed Morsi, Mr. Kerry said the aid decision reflected Egypt’s “extreme needs” and Mr. Morsi’s assurance that Egypt would reach an agreement with the I.M.F. after more than a year of talks over a $4.8 billion loan package.
The statement issued by Mr. Kerry noted that he and Mr. Morsi had discussed the need to ensure the fairness of Egypt’s coming elections, but it did not mention any specific political commitments the Egyptian president had made to receive the funds.
Parliamentary elections are scheduled for April. Some opposition groups have said they will boycott the vote because of what they see as an effort by Mr. Morsi and his Muslim Brotherhood movement to dominate Egyptian politics.
American officials say that Mr. Kerry asserted that moving ahead with difficult economic changes in Egypt would require a degree of political consensus and was implicitly a promise of some political change.

This IS insane to us, but perfectly logical to the kenyan muslim in the white house.
Kerry’s boss is obama.
He is a muslim.
He is rewarding his friends and punishing his enemies.
His friends happen to be muslim radicals and his enemies are us.
That would be the headline if a Republican were President. Followed by, “women and children hit hardest”.
I was responding to a report where a man prepped for a colostomy was told to leave because sequestration had stopped all non life threatening services. This a posting that was posted on FR. Whether that report was correct or not, I do not know.
The sequester is a disaster for the bureaucracy, requiring us to furlough firefighters, shut down air traffic control, and release criminal illegal aliens. But we have enough money to give the Muslim Brotherhood terrorists $250M so that they can qualify for a $4.8B loan? Why does the phrase "all enemies, foreign and domestic" always come to mind when the community organizer in our White House takes action?

The money goes to the businessmen and the military who are the bulwark against the fundamentalist fanatics.
I have never seen gall like this before. After weeks of fearmongering about the sequester, after releasing thousands of illegals because we “don’t have any money,” this bastard peels off a cool 250 million for the muslim brotherhood. And he does it only 3 days after the sequester went into effect.
Maybe some on should tell Kerry that if he wants to give money to Egypt it’s coming out of his wife’s ketchup money.
When it comes to his muslim brotherhood allies, and the home of al qaeda, he has no problem dishing out a cool 250 million bucks.
Does anyone else see anything wrong with this picture?
Could he be trying to take out the restrainer - the United States (socially, financially and militarily), so his friends in the middle east can feel free to attack Israel at will?

The Dept. of Veterans Affairs is exempt from sequestration - no VA facilities will be closed.
Wow. LOL. The following came from a very, very, pro-occupy, left wing kook guy when I told him to “get over it” when it came to the sequester (can’t pick your husbands relatives). He got angry because the sequester hurt the poor and said I was heartless not to care about the cutting.
Then I told him about this 250 million to the muslim brotherhood. His response was........
“WTF? W.....T....F????”
Believe it or not, this even has folks over at DU spinning their heads.
