Although Congressional hearings regarding the deadly attack on the U.S. Mission in Benghazi brought both Hillary Clinton to Capitol Hill as well as CIA Director Leon Panetta to answer questions, Republicans still want more questions answered about the assault that took the lives of four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens.
Congressman Frank Wolf (R - VA), Chairman of the Appropriations Committee, and Congressman Jim Gerlach (R - PA), a House Ways and Means Committee member, sent a letter to Secretary of State John Kerry on Friday and indicated that he was contacted by a "reliable source who provided information that there are wounded American personnel, including State Department employees, currently in rehabilitation and recovery at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center."
Wolf's letter continues saying that the source told him that as many as seven Americans have been or were given medical treatment at the facility, a number of which were State employees. Where are these survivors of Benghazi? Have they “disappeared” as is customary in other dictatorships?
Look, a loose thread. Wonder what happens if I pull on it?
I don’t have the link, but I read somewhere on FR that the FBI told all of the survivors that since it was now a FBI investigation they were forbidden from discussing any of it with anyone.
Only saw that once and have no verification but it sounds like something the government would do to nip whistle blowers in the bud.
Have they been briefed/debriefed? Have they been “warned” about what to say? A hospital is a great place to hold people captive to fear. I can’t imagine what a nightmare these citizens have endured.
Why have none of the family members of these survivors come forward? The only code of silence the family members are beholden to is the carrot and the stick. Nevertheless, I don't judge them.
The sickening truth is that no one cares anymore. The Obama Adm successfully ran out the sound-bite clock. The current media cycle is stoked with new crises.
As an example, due to the passage of time, Eric Holder can now get away with this declaration of hubris, masking moral squalor:

Yesterday, the Myrtle Beach Sun News published an editorial suggesting my efforts to get the facts on the Benghazi tragedy was “simply wasting our time.”
The Sun News is entitled to their opinion and I’m used to the criticism. But I also want to make clear to The Sun News and you – I will not back down.

Wolf is the Chair of aprops. Translation? He has the power of the purse, specifically of the Justice Dept. Rep. Gerlach, who also signed that letter to John Kerry, is member of Ways and Means. Something to thing about.
