All,

I got this in an email From Wilson Combat. For those unfamiliar with them, Wilson Combat is a fine manufacturer of firearms and firearms components.

" Wilson Combat Announces Anti-Gun States, No-Sale Policy

Effective: February 28, 2013

Wilson Combat will no longer provide any products or services to any State Government imposing legislation that infringes on the second amendment rights of its law abiding citizens. This includes any Law Enforcement Department, Law Enforcement Officers, or any State Government Entity or Employee of such an entity. This also applies to any local municipality imposing such infringements.

States currently included in our No-Sale Policy are:

California Hawaii Maryland Massachusetts New Jersey New York Washington D.C. The City of Chicago, Illinois

Wilson Combat will in NO way support the government of these states or their anti-gun agenda that only limits the rights of law-abiding citizens. Wilson Combat will continue to supply any product and/or service they can legally sell in these states to all non-government affiliated citizens.

Ryan Wilson, Vice President"

$1.46 a round is outrageous.

I agree. The post I responded to was about how none was available, government buying it all, etc. I just wanted to point out that it is available. Outrageous, though, like you said.

My local gun shop has American Eagles for $15 / box of 20. 75¢ a round.

They also got in a bunch of cases of 5.56 (900 for $749)

I think the cases are gone and the Eagles are limited to 5 boxes. But it is a lot better than $1.46.

They also got in some Sellier & Bellot 9mm (talk about hard to find, 9mm has been tough). A little higher than last year, $16.99 / 50. That’s limited to 250 rounds a day per family.

They got in some Magpul 30 round for $22. Of course those blew out of there when the doors opened Saturday.

Anyway, don’t know if this really means anything as regards the big picture, just glad I could grab some.

Man, I wish I could find those prices.
I gotta beat around the bushes a bit, I guess.
Thanks for the info.

Thanks for the interesting trivia.

My Marlin 795 has been my primary practice long gun because of ammo cost. Until now. Now I’m having to be so tight with it since there is no way of knowing when 22LR will be plentiful again. Frustrating.

I’m thinking the hoarding (on the public’s side) is going to go on for some time. A lot of firearms owners are beginning to think this will not get better, that some heavy stuff is coming our way.

You know for a fact that your local Sherrif's department is armed with Wilson Combat ARs? I seriously doubt it.

Wilson Combat isn’t the only one doing this.

There's a list here: http://www.thepoliceloophole.com/. (Wilson Combat isn't on the list yet, but an email has been sent to their moderator.)

One of the first to do this were LaRue and Olympic Arms, who like Wilson are makers of high end custom arms that probably aren't going to lose many LE sales since they didn't have that many to begin with.

There are a lot of others on that list that are jumping on the bandwagon, and one in particular (Cheaper than Dirtbags) trying to get back into the good graces of the shooting public.

As I said, I support the gesture, I just question those particular companies' financial impact of their decisions.

Great link, thank you. The 0bamaMedia is doing their best not to report this, as well as the Sheriff’s nationwide who’ve refused to enforce confiscation orders.

This isn’t a society stocking up on certain guns because they fear they may be banned. This is a society preparing for war. Source: Bob Owens

No. my point is that LEO have m-16/AR-15s and Wilson is a premium builder of these rifles. If you go to WC website you’ll see that their marketing emphesis is on the LEO market. To dismiss their staement as having no teeth is shortsighted.
