The Associated Press has learned that the Homeland Security Department official in charge of the agency's immigration enforcement and removal operations has resigned after hundreds of illegal immigrants were released from jails because of government spending cuts.

My take is that the person resigned because he can’t do his job. Not that he is the fall guy.
I read an article last night on azstarnet.com or kgun9.com in which Paul Babeu said he was told 500 immigrants had been released and that he was told after the fact by people who work for the Border Patrol. It was not an official communication. It sounded like these people did not approve.
Those illegals were probably not arrested for picking lettuce illegally. They are criminals. Now we have released criminals roaming around in areas they are not familiar with and they are in need of money and transportation. Look for an increase in car thefts and burglaries in the areas near those ICE detention centers.
What a bunch of cr4p. He isn’t leaving till the end of April. Why not right away. I call this a fall guy move. I bet they still will get full benefits.

Seems to be a lot of smoke, something unusual going on here. Maybe some of the aliens were charged with crimes but not convicted? I don’t see why the dems would be running so fast from this. They have released thousands of illegals recently. I don’t see why a few hundred more would be a big deal. Doesn’t add up.
