The beast described might also be the branches of the beast system. Some ideas for consideration, YMMV...
Beast 1, Executive Branch - reelected/revived despite 1) having already sold, despised and/or crafted out of thin air a birthright claim; 2) bizarre creation and survival of Obamacare, 3) Benghazi slaughter, doing nothing but going into CYA mode and then heading off to a Vegas fundraiser. This Obama hydrahead has regenerated double from political wounds that would have killed off any other pol.
Beast 2, two-horned Congress - the one that makes the laws to force all to pay homage/tax to the first beast or else (esp. WRT Obamacare).
The US is still the greatest nation on the planet although that’s quite an illusion. Easy for many to dismiss the writing on the wall though because of NT translations that use the word “earth” when “land” would suffice (Greek: ge). In several verses, if the Greek had been translated as “land”, the meaning would be rather alarming. “Earth” has a strong connotation as meaning the entire planet/globe, wheras land is just that, depending on the context, and naturally accomodates the element of borders.
