In England, 'Asian' means South Asian, not East Asian - that's people from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. But the reality is that these kids are almost certainly Muslims, not Hindus or Sikhs or Buddhists or anything else.

I'm still waiting to find a single news reports about some crime committed by 'Asians' in the British media that doesn't turn out to be a crime committed by Pakistani Muslims.

Here in the US also. My in-laws lived in the Drew Park section of Tampa years ago. They've seen their neighborhood go down the tubes with drugs and foreclosures. Many Indian families eventually moved in and they are wonderful people.

When my son was in highschool he had a neighborhood friend who attended a different school. A boy who attended the other school killed himself after a long period of bullying. My son's friend admitted to being one of the boys who bullied him. and I have never seen a kid suffer such grief and remorse for what he had done.
