Republicans need to reframe the debate. Globull Warming and Climate Change is just a way to steal our tax money. It’s really called pollution and Republicans should be blaming middle east oil and Chinese and Russian coal production.
By saying cleaner American energy production will solve the problem, things like Keystone and other energy initiatives can be promoted and Democrats will have to either go along or continue the lie.
The energy lie can easily be debunked by Republicans. They just need the cajones.

Here in the upper midwest I would point to the amazing abundance of hydroelectric potential in the form of existing dams. Depending on the dam, a small hydro generating plant costs around 1/4 more than erecting a windmill but produces as much (Dependable and consistent) electricity as a half dozen windmills. Also a hydroelectric generation plant doesn't need to be replaced every 10 to 15 years. Hydro works every day all day. The lake here is froze over and guys are ice fishing but the dam next to my house is still dumping a couple thousand gallons per second.
If I were a congressman I would be loudly questioning the real reason for destroying dams and the proven energy production methods only to replace them with expensive and inefficient windmills.
BTW one added bonus of hydro is the fact that it creates wealth as a side effect in the form of high dollar lakefront real estate, fishing, boating and other water related recreational activities.
