Firearms Companies Restricting Sales To GOVERNMENT Agencies In Areas That Restrict Gun Rights
CNS NEWS ^ | 02/22/2013 | Gregory Gwyn-Williams, Jr.

A growing number of firearm and firearm-related companies have stated they will no longer sell items to states, counties, cities and municipalities that restrict their citizens' rights to own them.

According to The Police Loophole, 34 companies have joined in publicly stating that governments who seek to restrict 2nd Amendment rights will themselves be restricted from purchasing the items they seek to limit or ban.

Extreme Firepower Inc., located in Inwood, WV has had a longstanding policy that states:

"The Federal Government and several states have enacted gun control laws that restrict the public from owning and possessing certain types of firearms...If a product that we manufacture is not legal for a private citizen to own in a jurisdiction, we will not sell that product to a law-enforcement agency in that jurisdiction."

York Arms, located in Buxton, ME released a statement following new legislation in New York:

"Based on the recent legislation in New York, we are prohibited from selling rifles and receivers to residents of New York. We have chosen to extend that prohibition to all governmental agencies associated with or located within New York."

Quality Arms, located in Rigby, ID writes on their website, "elected officials have their own agenda to circumnavigate the truth and destroy the constitution of the United States."

The site states: "Quality Arms Idaho will not supply and firearm or product, manufactured by us, or any other company nor will we warranty, repair, alter, or modify and firearm owned by any State, County or Municipality who infringes on the right of its citizens to bear arms under the 2nd Amendment."

private individuals of that same city or state."

WooHoo! We do not own a firearm. Have been living overseas where it was restricted. Trying to decide what to get now. Although, now the cost is getting pretty prohibitive!

this is phase ii and every gun owner needs and can be involved by doing exactly what you said.

you want to know what you can do, this is what you can do. emails and letters and buy only from companies not selling to govt and leo’s who want to kill your 2a rights. then follow up with letters showing how much you’ve bought from others that they lost out on.

Still with that grammatically inaccurate headline.

What about ammo? That is the conundrum.

Noting the already disreputable Buds Gun Shop is NOT on the list. Bravo for Cheaper than Dirt.

CTD already sold out and is trying to rescue their reputation again. Don’t fall for it.

Imagine if other companies followed similar suit?

Ford refuses to sell cars to government agencies who bail out car companies or government agencies who support gun control.

Power companies refuse to sell electricity to government backed green energy companies or for that matter Washington DC period until they get their shxt together.

The possibilities are endless.

More companies need to get on board, and not just firearms and ammunition companies!

Please get beyond thinking that firearms manufactures are on our side when it comes to the 2nd Amendment.

SAAMI made up of all the major firearms and ammunition manufactures drafted and supported the 1968 Gun Control Act, the 1994 Assault Weapons Ban and the High Capacity Magazine ban as tragic, misguided protectionism.

Documentation concerning the 1968 GCA is found in the August 1962 American Rifleman magazine on page 33.

I personally saw the proposed Assault Weapon and Magazine ban being circulated by the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) within firearms and ammunition industries in 1989, a full 5 years before it became law. SAAMI is a wing of the NSSF.

I was not wise enough at the time to make a copy of that draft proposal. A copy must exist somewhere and maybe it will surface.

One would have to be incredibly naive to believe that Senator Finstein or her staff drafted the 1994 laws.

Our supposed friends accomplished what our enemies could never have achieved, all in the name of protectionism.

I would suggest boycotting anything made by SAAMI members.

The possibilities are endless.

Except that we're in an age of rule by presidential EO. Didn't Obama sign a big one a year or so ago that essentially gave the feds the authority to confiscate any type of private property or take over means of production of anything deemed essential to national security?

Those who would take away guns aren't about to go without means of procuring their own for very long IMHO!

That’s the key. Of course the smaller players get on early, they have nothing to lose, especially if they do little LEO business in NY and CA. We need to turn the tide of the BIG players in the industry like Smith and Wesson and Glock. THEN the legislators will start listening. Every bit helps, but let’s get some big players in on this.

Mark Levin made that very point tonight, after giving this news two thumbs up.
