As Country Club Republicans Link Up With The Democratic Ruling Class, Millions Of Voters Are Orphaned

On January 1, 2013 one third of Republican congressmen, following their leaders, joined with nearly all Democrats to legislate higher taxes and more subsidies for Democratic constituencies. Two thirds voted no, following the people who had elected them. For generations, the Republican Party had presented itself as the political vehicle for Americans whose opposition to ever-bigger government financed by ever-higher taxes makes them a “country class.” Yet modern Republican leaders, with the exception of the Reagan Administration, have been...

--snip--

Similarly the entire country class has as much interest in asserting the right of armed self-defense as does any gun owner, because the principle of constitutional right is indivisible. Nothing will require greater unity against greater resistance than ending government promotion of abortion and homosexuality. Yet those whose main concerns are with financial probity cannot afford continuing to neglect that capitalist economics presupposes a morally upright people. All this illustrates the need for, and the meaning of, a political party: disparate elements acting all of one and one for all.

--snip--

Far be it from a party that represents the country class to ape what it abhors by imposing punitive measures through party line votes covered by barrages of insults: few in the country class’ parts want to become a ruling class. Yet the country class, to defend itself, to cut down the forest of subsidies and privileges that choke America, to curb the arrogance of modern government, cannot shy away from offending the ruling class’ intellectual and moral pretenses. Events themselves show how dysfunctional the ruling class is. But only a political party worthy of the name can marshal the combination of reason, brutal images, and consistency adequately to represent America’s country class.

Let's just stimulate that >3 daze of downtime is unacceptable.

A review of the annual budget and performance to same is in order.

Hardware redundancy is paramount to acceptable reliability of web sites.

That comment doesn't have much to do with the context of the thread, which is that the GOP-E has left its base to chase after the Dems.

It does however prove that you are the #1 {insert Blazing Saddles quote here}

Perhaps you are #2?

My wife requires a better availability than FR currently provides. Redundant hardware and redundant web connections provide the necessary reliability to promote marital bliss ( at WAY less than $380k/yr).

Why are you hijacking a thread about the very real problem of the GOP claiming to represent conservatives, while climbing into bed with the liberals?

Beat your hobby horse on an appropriate thread.

Thread Hijacking is endemic and quite irrelevant. Speak to the issue proposed or ignore.

Given a >3day hiatus there is no relevant thread relating to FR budget, actual expenses and any other normal financial exposition (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, etc.) Is FR a transparent operation or not? Inquiring minds want to know. (How many AMs are there and are they paid? Is FR still a hobby? etc ?)

Start a vanity thread, then, but highjacking a thread is terribly bad form.

"The ever-growing U.S. government has an edgy social, ethical, and political character."

As are state and local governments that suck debt from it.

I will note, that the discussion that you attempted to start inappropriately didn't go anywhere.

Both parties have been taken over and taken for a ride far to the left, out into the realm of the truly crazy, where communists and socialists frolic and spend, other peoples money of course and with the precedent set it will forever more be Bush’s fault.
If you look far to the left you will see the two parties gaily skipping hand in hand. Once every two years they will stop and while gazing adoringly into each others eyes they will pick who they will let us vote for.

The progressive elite of both parties can not allow someone like Palin to change their mode of operations.

The progressive elite of both parties can not allow “we the people” to disrupt their plans to destroy this nation. The Masters simply will not suffer 300 million people thinking they are in control of their own destiny.

Or was that a prelude to stepping up and buying top of the line equipment needed to set a mirror site for us. If so a most profuse thank you!

"Start your own website and forum, then."

No, what are the expectations for availability? What is required to meet the availability promises (if any)? Should there be redundancy of hardware? Software? Data?

As outlined above, my wife requires better availability of web connectivity and I can provide same at a much lower annual expenditure.

"buying top of the line equipment needed to set a mirror site for us."

As outlined above, I have redundancy of hardware, software and connectivity at home just to keep my better half happy.

Top of the line equipment is not necessary, just enough redundancy to keep the obligatory line open.

FR apparently has critical issues with system design to achieve minimal availability( that $380k/yr should be more than able to achieve.)
