While discussing the contentious confirmation hearings for defense secretary nominee Chuck Hagel, things got a bit heated on Sunday's "Meet The Press" when Sen. John McCain referred to the lack of information from the White House surrounding the Sept. 11, 2012 attacks in Benghazi as a "massive cover-up."
"There are so many answers we don't know," McCain told host David Gregory. "We've had two movies about getting bin Laden and we don't even know who the people were who were evacuated from the consulate the day after the [Benghazi] attack. So there are many, many questions. So we've had a massive cover-up on the part of the administration."
Gregory then pressed McCain on what the Arizona senator meant by "a massive cover-up."
"I'm asking you, do you care whether four Americans died?" McCain said. "And shouldn't people be held accountable for the fact that four Americans died?"
"Well, what you said was the cover-up--a cover-up of what?" Gregory asked.
"Of the information concerning the deaths of four brave Americans," McCain replied. "The information has not been forthcoming. You obviously believe that it has. I know that it hasn't. And I'll be glad to send you a list of the questions that have not been answered, including 'What did the president do and who did he talk to the night of the attack on Benghazi?'"
McCain continued: "Why did the president for two weeks, for two weeks during the heat of the campaign continue to say he didn't know whether it was a terrorist attack or not? Is it because it interfered with the line 'Al Qaeda has [been] decimated'? And 'everything's fine in that in that part of the world'? Maybe. We don't know. But we need the answers.

Really, Senator, What difference does it make??
"Held accountable except for me, I'm going to vote for Hagel anyway." ~ Juan McStain
It would be curious to have the twenty-odd CIA guys who flew out of Libya....explain what exactly their mission was. You don’t have twenty of these guys in one location, unless it’s fairly significant. So far, the media hasn’t grasped that part of the story. And I suspect...that the mission had nothing to do with the Ambassador being in town, or the Jihad crowd that showed up at the Ambassador’s house.
Has no one ever heard the phrase be reasonable or be quiet?
I can only conclude that people posting that quote are trying to incite anger over reason. In which case there is already a ~european~ word for that -provocateur.

Perhaps you fancy yourself a Community Organizer?
Where were you and the rest of the RINOs with all this Benghazi stuff before the election.
You are a Useless POS Juan.
The rumor is the Benghazi place was a CIA outpost not a diplomatic post and the purpose for it’s existence was to funnel weapons from the old qhadaffi regieme to the rebels in syria which we were supporting...but what difference does it make.LOL.

“So far, the media hasnt grasped that part of the story”
The media doesn’t care about ANYTHING as long as their boy, obama, is kept unscathed and in full command of his kingship.
...typical Rino, point finger, then stick yourself in the eye. Useless,spineless,co-conspirator.
The Won could not be held accountable in September, there was no effort made to make this part of the political campaign for President, and after the fact is when the defenses are put up most strongly.
Actually, the defense could be pretty weak, and it would still not be effectively challenged by the current crop of the GOP Establishment, of which John McCain is a major player. There is a strong reluctance to go after Bronco Bama on ANY level, as this would invoke the reminder of a shadowy person out there by name of Ray Sist, who has never been either photographed or interviewed, but with whom nobody ever wants to be associated.
Political Correctness, either the refusal or the inability to call the situation as it actually exists, is the hobgoblin of small minds everywhere, even more than a foolish consistency, which is its first cousin.
Not like McCain cares anyway. He goes back and forth so many times I’m surprised he doesn’t have vertigo.
Quoting french etymology doesn't add a single nuance to your rather ignorant comment. There is a very good reason the quote is used not a thing about it is to provoke anything but the truth but I am sorry that you just don't get it.
Juan wants something. He will quiet down when he gets it.
This sudden wanting to know is Bullshyt.
Where has he been when all of the other questions about Obama’s reign should have been answered.
Where was Juan when John Kerry was confirmed.
Why didn’t he ask Kerry where his F-180 was and why he was in Paris talking with the Viet Cong.
Riiiiiight.

McCain will rant and then go silent in a few weeks.
If there was a massive cover up like you claim Mr. McCain, then why have there been no articles of impeachment presented?
((( Holding Breath ))
McCain talks out of both sides of his mouth!
I’m confused. I thought that Juanny told us Barry would make a fine President. Now he’s accusing him of covering up wrongdoing. You’d almost think Juanny was crazy or something.
After reading that piece about Lt Quarles Harris I wouldn’t put it past Obama to put a contract on Juan McCain. With the Idiot press on his side that AH can do anything he wants.

Thank you!
Exactly. Questions not asked, answers not forthcoming. Who are the co-conspirators in the "massive cover up", John? Are you talking to one of them in this interview? Where did the buck stop and the obfuscation begin, John?

Some people frequent this website because they prefer to avoid the MSM. Unfortunately, many posters remain captivated by the MSM and believe pig wresting them is somehow amusing or snarky. It is actually quite boorish and insufferable to all but the distracted and ignorant.
I would like to have seen what, if any steps Mr. McCain is taking to investigate events at the Consulate. Instead I read yet another (supposed) sarcastic repitition of Clinton's denial of accountability.
If I wanted the MSM's line I'd frequent MSM boards.
boor·ish/ˈbʊərɪʃ/ Show Spelled [boor-ish]
adjective of or like a boor; unmannered; crude; insensitive.

Origin:
155565; boor + -ish1
Related forms
boor·ish·ly, adverb
boor·ish·ness, noun
Synonyms
coarse, uncouth, loutish, churlish. Boorish, oafish, rude, uncouth all describe persons, acts, manners, or mannerisms that violate in some way the generally accepted canons of polite, considerate behavior. Boorish originally referring to behavior characteristic of an unlettered rustic or peasant, now implies a coarse and blatant lack of sensitivity to the feelings or values of others: a boorish refusal to acknowledge greetings. Oafish suggests slow-witted, loutlike, clumsy behavior: oafish table manners. Rude has the widest scope of meaning of these words; it suggests either purposefully impudent discourtesy or, less frequently, a rough crudity of appearance or manner: a rude remark; a rude thatched hut. Uncouth stresses most strongly in modern use a lack of good manners, whether arising from ignorance or brashness: uncouth laughter; an uncouth way of staring at strangers.
At least you have numbers on your side.
It depends on what the meaning of the word “is” is.

I just had to say it. Can’t pass up a chance to provacatate
and provacatize this thread into provacatory.
You must be an antivacatizer. (sarc)
Nice one. ROFL I was a click away from Googling to see who Ray Sist was...
I can’t help but remember the McCain/Graham fact finding trip to Libya before we committed, which results assured us that there were no insurgents in Libya.
No, he’s not voting for Hagel.
Impeachment starts in the House.
Even when McCain is right I can’t stand him. I wish they’d either lock the gates or build a higher fence at Happy Acres.................
