We have several sheep farms here and I always see red-tail hawks flying around with a sheep in their talons.

May have been trying to poison coyotes, and the eagles got into the bait. Would be my guess.

I know you’re just kidding. But here in Oklahoma I have heard of Red-Tails taking small dogs, puppies, kittens, etc.

LOL. Maybe tiny baby sheep but this is in Texas and I’m guessing that the hawks were pretty good size.
