Stay off the Triumph
Last week we sailed the Triumph and were very disapointed. For over half the cruise the motor couldn't run at full power so we missed Cozumel totally. The room lights were falling and the hallway outside our door smelled like sewage several times. This ship should be docked now. If you're booked on this ship, I'd op for another Carnival ship. This was our 4th Carnival trip. The other three were good ships.

“Don’t worry. By May, this problem should be fixed. When this same thing happened to me on Celebration, the ship was fixed within a couple sailings. Don’t worry about it.”

I was on a Carnival cruise once. I can’t remember the name of the ship, but it was on the Long Beach-Ensenada run.
It was okay. Nothing spectacular, but good. No problems. My co-workers were all barfing from seasickness though.

The media has wildly hyped it and it must have been quite the disappointment that so many disembarked and kinda shrugged their shoulders at it being a minor thing.
On the other hand they did find a few drama queens who were suffering horribly and may never recover from their emotional devastation. (the lawyer’s friend)
Cruises aren’t my bag but if it were me I would want my money back and the money for the lost week of vacation pay. Maybe a discount for next year’s trip.
I was watching the news and noticed several things. First, they didn’t show any of the children on the cruise. They stated that there were teenagers and younger children on board .... skipping school and possibly going to need to buy a doctor’s note? Additionally, I wonder how many adults lost their jobs because of the few extra days the cruise took or will be needing to buy a doctor’s note?
I have been fortunate to take a cruise several times. Royal Carribean is the only way to go!

I’ve taken one cruise in my life, two years ago on.. the Carnival Triumph.

No problems,but it wasn’t for me, though I had to try it. I could see maybe a higher class trip to somewhere more exotic perhaps. Don’t think I could afford it though.
