BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - A New York Assemblyman's proposal to prohibit kids under 11 from playing tackle football isn't going over well with some coaches.
In Buffalo Thursday, a handful of youth football leaders and participants joined state Sen. Timothy Kennedy outside a stadium to protest the idea.
Assemblyman Michael Benedetto introduced the legislation last week, telling reporters it's meant to protect children...

Fewer than one in 100 high school males get to “play” it, so it isn’t a panacea for testosterone madness. Get them into a Karate class. Anyone can do that.
Since we’re into peraonal attacks, you seem a typical liberal, intolerant of other’s ideas and attacking the person rather than the idea. I am a combat veteran, father, and hate what has happened to the country.
Football is a waste, not a national treasure.
Hell, I played football. A good friend had his knee totally destroyed and I realized it could happen to me. My parents talked me into dropping it. Football is organized child abuse.
The liberal education systems is already doing the ritalin and fagging. Prozac zombies are the ones behind Columbine and Sandy Hook.
The only reason football is promoted is that it is one thing “academic underachievers” do very well. How many kids grow up to play football?
One in a hundred thousand?
The countries with the best academic standards have one thing in common - no football.
Research Universities have a phrase for fourth-rate schools, “They have a good football team”.
That applies to the whole U.S.A. now. We have a good football team...
Or the American public can stop ELECTING these assholes to OFFICE!
