Too bad, Sen. Mike Johanns. Hagel stinks!
If the president nominated a competent individual, there wouldn’t be a filibuster. The president chose intentionally to put his thumb in the eye of America, of republicans, and of Israel with Hagel’s appointment. He should be blocked until his nomination is withdrawn.
Wake up senator!
Seems to me Johanns is supporting Hagel because he is another Nebraskan rather than looking at his record since leaving the senate. Doesn’t say much about the senator from Neb.

There is no filibuster. And it is Democrats who are not allowing it to go to vote.
That is because they would lose today if the vote were taken today.
The Dems blocked Bush 2’s 1st term appointments right up until his re-election.
What are the lefties crying about now?
Were I one of mister Johann’s fellow Senators, I actually would walk up to him and tell him to “suck it.”
Johanns served on the Lancaster County Board from 1983 to 1987 as a Democrat.
One of the many reasons Obama wants Hagel is he’s a republican. So he can have a REPUBLICAN gut the Defense Department, a la “only Nixon could go to China.”
The House should prevent the Senate from going into recess next week, because we know he will be recess appointed, despite the DC Circuit’s opinion that a vacancy occur during the recess of the Senate. Panetta’s leaving office today and the Senate is still in session.
The Dems did it in the past. Sauce for the gander.
Well, there goes another vote. Reid will have his 60 votes by Friday. What’s his reasoning? The Republicans won’t call a Filibuster a Filibuster, so he’s going to vote against it. Brilliant.
What’s the matter with Nebraska? The state is reliably Republican in every presidential election and in the past has sent solid conservatives to the Senate such as Kenneth Wherry, Carl Curtis and Roman Hruska.
It's the first law of liberal newsrooms. Hello New York Times... are you there? Are you still in business?
I’ll be blunt. Johanns is making himself appear to be a Nazi. One bad apple speaking too loudly: not good public affairs for Nebraska.
