Poll: Americans Don't Really Like the Job Obama's Doing [but they reelected him anyway]

When President Obama discusses the economy in his State of the Union Address Tuesday night, he will be dealing with an area in which the American public gives him relatively low performance ratings.

The same thing applies to immigration, energy policy, guns, and taxes. On all of those issues, more Americans disapprove than approve of the job Obama is doing, according to a new Gallup Poll.

Gallup found that President Obama is heading into his fourth State of the Union address Tuesday night with an overall job approval rating of around 50 percent. But in eight of the nine specific areas measured, more Americans disapprove than approve of the job he's doing.

In only one category -- national defense -- did Obama's approval rating (53 percent) exceed his disapproval rating (44 percent).

The Gallup poll shows that Obama's lowest approval rating is 31 percent, for his handling of the federal budget deficit. Only 39 percent approve of the way he's handling the economy. And the economy is expected to be a main topic of discussion Tuesday night.

Obama's Job Approval on 9 Issues:

National defense - 53% Approve, 44% Disapprove Foreign affairs - 46% Approve, 48% Disapprove Immigration - 46% Approve, 48% Disapprove Energy policy - 44% Approve, 46% Disapprove Gun policy - 42% Approve, 54% Disapprove Taxes - 41% Approve, 57% Disapprove the economy - 39% Approve, 60% Disapprove Middle East: Israelis/Palestinians - 36% Approve, 55% Disapprove The federal budget deficit - 31% Approve, 65% Disapprove

Gallup noted that Obama finds himself in a situation similar to the one he was in one year ago, with a job approval rating at roughly the 50 percent level, and approval ratings on issues very similar to where they are now.

The Gallup Poll is based on telephone interviews conducted Feb. 7-10, 2013, with a random sample of 1,015 adults, aged 18 and older, living in all 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia.

As much as I despise democrats and know that they routinely engage in vote fraud, where is the evidence that such fraud decided this election? If such evidence exists of wide-spread vote fraud, then why doesn’t the Republican party or some conservative political action group contest the results of the election?

No, my FRiend. I think we must face the truth. A majority of our fellow citizens are fickle like the mobs of ancient Rome — they will support which ever party gives them the most bread and circuses.

They didn’t elect him.

This last election was stolen. Plain and simple.

What the people are failing to do is, accept Barry is in office by fraudulent means and take the necessary steps to remove him.

Just because our so-called elected Republican politicians don’t have the gonads to question the election fraud, you make the assumption that the election results were on the up-and- up.

They were not. The answer to questions should be answered by the person seeking the answer. Don’t rely on politicians for answers or anything else for that matter.

I don’t make the assumption that the elections were on the level, but I haven’t seen any hard evidence that the vote fraud, that I am sure did happen, actually decided the election. There were a few postings and news stories questioning the results of individual races. Allen West’s district stands out in my mind. There was some news stories about irregularities in certain cities. Philadelphia comes to mind. There were also some stories about questionable swing state results, but I have not seen anybody put it all together to prove that any of it decided the national election. I would be very happy if it could be proved, so the election could be contested. Until or unless that happens, we will be dealing with the current administration.

I think the best thing we can do is to stay involved in the process, especially at the local level, and try to getter better candidates nominated. None of the candidates in the last election cycle were very appealing. Romney was a consensus candidate of last resort. His final vote tally reflects the lack of enthusiasm that most of us here on FR felt. So, I think the majority of American voters are indeed fickle and voted for Obama or did not vote for Romney for reasons other than policy or character. I wish the electorate was the same as during the 80s, but it is not. Wishing it so, will not change things. Only hard work and activism on the local level will make things better.

My view is that vote fraud may have put Baraq over the top, but he had to get close enough to cheat based on real votes.
The fact that he was able to do so with such a horrible record makes me worried about the future.

2 generations of progressive controlled education +
MSM as a full partner in the regime +
unlimited and govt supported illegals =

DIM FUTURE

It’s not the number of people that voted or how they voted. It’s how the votes were counted that matters, and the votes in this election were clearly counted in O’s favor. You just have to love all the new electronic voting machines that can be hacked in minutes (per testimony in Ohio court of someone who designs software to do this).

24 Million bogus votes; 2.7 Million dead voters; 1.7 Million people voted in multiple states.

Current poll matches.

That what happens when you get in by fraud. Sooner or later it shows in it’s own ways. That’s why Romney thought he would win.

Romney ran a terrible campaign and allowed Obama to demonize him.

So, why is he still President?

Here is an example...A county in Ohio had a 108% turnout of voters that ALL voted for Barry?

100% agreed.

Romney lost. Obama did not win. We need to get Republicans out of this mindset that we can win by being gentlemen (or ladies).

That is nonsense. We will win by out-arguing, out-debating and out-campaigning the opposition.

Romney was good in the primary. Against Obama he went soft.

Romney deserved to lose. He lost all his fight, against Obama.

The Republicans deserve to lose, until they stop acting like doormats and start fighting back for a change.
