Germantown, Maryland – A young mother and her baby both died last week at the hands of a notorious abortionist who has licenses in several states across the country.
Reports state that 29-year-old Jennifer McKenna Morbelli of New Rochelle, New York died on Thursday following complications from a botched abortion. Morbelli was 33 weeks pregnant with a baby girl that had been named Madison Leigh.
According to sidewalk counselors outside of abortionist LeRoy Carhart’s Germantown Reproductive Health Center in Maryland, Morbelli had traveled to the abortion facility the previous weekend for a late-term abortion. It is believed that the woman had been informed that her 8-month-old daughter suffered from fetal anomalies, and opted to end the child’s life. She traveled from New York to Maryland to have the procedure performed, with members of her family accompanying her.
“They began the abortion process on Sunday, February 3, in the afternoon, according to sidewalk counselors who maintain a constant presence at the clinic when it is open. They noted Jennifer appeared ‘very’ late-term,” pro-life blogger Jill Stanek reports. “According to those counselors, Sunday is when Carhart kills late-term babies by lethal injection into the heart through the mothers’ abdominal wall.”
“Jennifer and her family returned on Monday, presumably to begin the labor induction process by insertion of laminaria or prostaglandins to dilate the cervix, and again on Tuesday. They presumably spent each night at a nearby hotel, as is the usual process for a multi-day, late-term abortion at Carhart’s Germantown clinic,” she continued. “The family returned again on Wednesday, presumably for the delivery of Jennifer’s dead baby Madison, staying nine hours, an extraordinary length of time.”
However, Thursday morning, Morbelli began complaining of chest pains and other discomfort. Family members attempted to contact Carhart, but were unsuccessful in reaching him. They drove Morbelli to the hospital, where it was found that she was suffering from massive internal bleeding.
While at the hospital, attempts were again made to contact Carhart, but he could not be reached. Morbelli went code blue six times, and was pronounced dead at approximately 10:00 a.m. It was during this time that Carhart called, but never arrived at the hospital.
According to the pro-life organization Operation Rescue, abortionist LeRoy Carhart has been named responsible for the deaths of abortion-minded mothers before. He performs abortions at a number of facilities across the country and flies in to various cities each week.
“In 2005, Carhart was also involved in the death of Christin Gilbert, who died after a third trimester abortion in Wichita, Kansas,” explained director Troy Newman. “It is time for medical boards to put an end to these horrifically dangerous and barbaric third trimester abortions. If they do not, we can only expect Carhart and his associates to send more women to the morgue.”
A double funeral is planned for both mother and baby. Morbelli was a kindergarten teacher at Church Street Elementary School in White Plains, New York.

I couldn’t agree more. That is one vicious, ghastly crime indeed. I gave thanks the day George Tiller was removed from this earth, and I’ll do the same when the rest of those late-term baby murderers meet the same fate.

What kind of fetal anomalies are we talking about? 33 weeks.....God, it is almost born for God’s sake....sick.
At 33 weeks that baby could have been delivered and placed. There’s no doubt about it.
The mother did a terrible thing, definitely homicide in my view. The only mitigating factor that would not make it a capital crime to me is that she was somehow coerced.
The doctor, on the other hand, is in the business of selling his gun for assassinations. That is a capital offense, so at this point in time, he’s making a down payment on eternal punishment.
He’s a lawyer.

The "Safe, Legal and Rare" crowd doesn´t care much for the first and third words in that slogan, I´ve noticed. I also don´t see the point of undergoing an abortion that late in a pregnancy, either, especially for severe fetal defects. If this little girl was doomed to a short life anyway, why shouldn´t she be allowed to come into this world peacefully and pass away peacefully in her mother´s arms instead of being tortured and killed?

A Christian friend of mine did just that.....she & her husband held their daughter lovingly till the end came....
..the baby was born full term and beautiful, but there were problems & the parents knew this ahead of time.
I am curious as to the baby in this news story.....was she really deformed?.......sometimes they're not-----the parents reject efforts to abort, and the child grows up healthy and normal.
