1 kilo down but 0 distance from seismogram?
Could NK just send in the info and fake it?

At a depth of 1km, that look suspicious.

So, are we going to offer a sternly worded letter or what?

No, just national security secrets.

Hell Obama may go over and help make the nukes himself.

Well 2006 was 4.1, 2009 was 4.6, so maybe a slight improvement if anything. Look for the radionuclide report.

I still have a strong feeling that they are fooling with large amounts of explosives to throw the world off. You can blow a bunch of TNT up in a deep tunnel and get the same effect and still scare people.

The UN is drafting a “Letter of Deep Concern” as we type.

I suppose they could set off a really big conventional explosives pop but it’s most likely real. We’ll be looking for any leakage that’s radioactive. Plus the seismologists are saying the earthquake is atypical meaning induced by an explosion.

I’m not real comfortable with strange creatures having nuclear toys.

#ROK media: South Korea has raised military readiness posture and government calls emergency national security meeting.

Well, remember the Ryongchon explosion happened 2 years before the first nuke test in 2006 and it was a huge amount of ammonium-nitrate fertilizer? Why not use the free fertilizer that you get from Japan and South Korea, turn it into a bomb, blow up a tunnel, and terrorize the world with it?

A nuke has a much faster rise time than any chemical explosive. Makes a different signature.

We’ll fly a spy plane with an air sniffer to look for fugitive isotopes to confirm.

We have shot many “huge piles of high explosives” and know what they look like seismically, like Misty Picture and Minor Scale.

With that kind of a track record, I’m sure the South and ourselves kept track of what went in before the explosion.

Anyway we can look at the quake spike and compare it?
