Amendments are hard.
This morning, Nancy I know the Constitution Pelosi appeared on Fox News Sunday and once again dazzled with her constitutional acumen:
We avow the First Amendment. We stand with that and say that people have a right to have a gun to protect themselves. in their homes and their jobs, whatever, and that they and the workplace and that they, for recreation and hunting and the rest, Pelosi inarticulately told Wallace.

Dear Nancy Botox,
Shove it up your Obama.
You are the baseline from which all intelligence is measured.
She knew it would piss us off, and she is sitting there thinking "first, second, whats the difference? We're going to shred them both anyway."
lol
I just assume every morning that she is dead, knowing one of these days I'm bound to be right.
And she is one of the smartest DemocRats. Proof that parasites and socialists will vote for anything with a “D” behind their name.
What if it is? What if carrying a weapon is integral to the freedom of expression? Or, perhaps, petitioning the government? -- Given the hostility of some of the "Public Servants" it might be a very good idea to have arms on-hand.

When the Constitution doesn't matter, being right about it doesn't matter and is just wasted/useless information. I could very-well argue that the Constitution doesn't matter, citing examples from all three branches of government. (One thing that's very ingrained in the average person's thoughts, that is absolutely wrong, is the notion that the Supreme Court determines what the Constitution says; it is incredibly destructive because such a model has the USSC a higher authority than the Constitution which commissions them.)
What is sad is that she was way more effective Speaker than Bohner is, and that this slip will be ignored.
Which is the 'Right to choose abortion' amendment Nancy?
I am convinced beyond all doubt that woman is a major drug user. The weird facial tics and head movements give it away.
. . . maybe she’s thinking we have the right to SAY we have the right to bear arms, but not to actually own them . . . . /sarc

sharp as a marble...
It makes sense. She got to say what she wanted, and there is no tape for campaign play-back if her directly supporting the 2A. I doubt she’s stupid enough to mix them up, but don’t doubt she’s smart enough to think of what soundbytes she’s generating.
In addition to that I would add the face that when she speaks for longer then a paragraph it comes out as an incoherent mush of gibberish. Just listen to what she was saying this weekend to defend her premise that we "don't have a spending problem".
She's more effective precisely because the media let "slips" like the embarrassing statement you highlight pass without comment.
Boehner may be a weak speaker, but don't expect even if his replacement is a tea party stalwart that things would be much better. That person would simply be savaged even more in the press than Boehner is, and in the end a lack of public support for cutting government would force them to cave on the big debt issues anyway.
Conservative's have let the left almost entirely take over the education, media and entertainment establishment's. All too often we simply didn't challenge the left in these areas. Conservatives (and even milquetoast Republicans like Boehner) are swimming against such a tide at this point that it is nearly impossible for anyone opposed to Obama and the left to be very successful. It is going to take some really remarkable conservatives/Republicans to reach the public through all the leftist propaganda entrenched at this time.
I vote for bi-annual drug tests for ALL those in power.
Pelosi thinks the ‘great wisdom’ is whatever’s in fashion - at the moment - between liberal elites. Really, she’s that shallow. Who wants to bet she’s never read the constitution?
