FReeper rrrod lives in Colombia (near Manizales I believe) and just felt this. He and his wife and wife's family are OK, no further word.
Wow...if he felt it in Manizales, it must have damaged several cities in Cauca. Please keep us informed...
I have family in Cali and Buga. Please ping me with further information.
This gives an idea of how it was felt and the intensity rating for several areas.. I have friends in Popayán, so I am also trying to get more information.
Mrs. 40 said she heard the windows rattle a bit here in Panama. I slept through it.
Thank you, SumProVita! I had visited this website but didn’t find the information you shared... I, too, will post any updates I learn as soon as I hear from my family!
These sources don’t give us much more, but at least it’s good to know that (based on the article from El Tiempo) there do not appear to be significant reports of damage in Nariño (much closer to the epicenter than Cali)...and the Governor there said it was not connected to the volcano Galeras (based on an initial report that he had received).
