Rubio’s Mom Changed His Mind on Immigration

Marco Rubio’s softening stance toward immigration reform boils down to his mom, a new profile of the fast-rising Florida senator reveals.

“Don’t mess with the immigrants, my son,” Oriales Garcia Rubio told her youngest son during a Dec. 21 phone call, Time magazine reports. Illegal immigrants, she said, are “human beings just like us, and they came for the same reasons we came. To work. To improve their lives.”

Rubio took his mother’s words to heart, and says they are shaping his work on immigration.

“I have to balance that humanity with reality,” he said. “We have immigration laws. They have to be followed. But yeah, she reminded me that there’s a human element to this as well. As a policymaker, you have to strike a balance.” …

I have no idea why there are these illegal alien advocates who are so blind to the fact these people have citizenship and a right to be returned to their country of origin.

Has there ever been a nation in the history of the civilized world whose government so flagrantly pandered to immigrants, especially invaders who came in without that government's consent? Tolerance in one form or another is one thing, but pandering and inviting them to goodies at the public trough is quite another.

Seriously? On US soil? Right there you diminish the value of military service abroad. During peacetime it is normal for dependents to be sent with the troops and there will be babies.

Sorry, does not compute. You can't send a man or woman abroad for purposes of state and deny them the rights their progeny would have had if they just stayed home!

December 21?

Rubio (the son) was pushing for amnesty before that.

“House of Cards” is great. I am at episode 11. I heard it might be renewed for a Season 2.

The RINOs are probably salivating over the fact that dems and courts gave Obama a free pass over the natural born thing because now they don't have to worry so much about Rubio's birth coming four years before mama and papa were naturalized.

Please see my post # 18.

Don't expect a Rubio presidential or vice presidential candidacy to go constitutionally unchallenged.

The fact that the Pubbie establishment played deaf, dumb and blind to Obama's lack of constitutional qualification for POTUS doesn't necessarily mean that the 'Rats will return the favor when and if the shoe is on the other foot. Or a Rubio presidential candidacy could possibly be challenged on constitutional grounds by a Republican rival.

Illegal immigrants, she said, are “human beings just like us, and they came for the same reasons we came. To work. To improve their lives.”

So, what about the other four or more billion human beings around the world who'd also like to improve their lives?

Just a lot of emotion driven nonsense that can result in policies that will ruin this nation.

Rubio's just one more weak panderer who's joined with those who might well sink the Republican party once and for all. He's more irritating by the day.

Don’t ever forget that MARCO voted for the NDAA and the confirmation of John Kerry! That’s enough for me.

The Roman Empire, right before it imploded and plunged the world into centuries of dark ages?

BTW, i'm not the guy who posted that. Anyway, the Western Empire crashed about 535 AD ~ due to a serious change in the weather ~ something like a 7 year Fimbul winter. By the time that was over most of the native peoples of Northern and Western Europe that depended on agriculture had been pretty much exterminated.

My own ancestral Breton people said "Merlin" had to replant the grapes in France ~ all the way from Nantes to the upper reaches of the Rhone Valley.

so that by itself would have wiped out Roman civilization in the region.

The climate anomaly set off a good thousand years of seriously reduced expectations in Western Europe, and actually devastated Southern Europe economically ~ and it also wiped out civilization for a good 300 years in China!

By 600 AD just about the only folks with a fairly intact economy and a supply of gold were living in Petra (in what is now Jordan).

And this is why the president of the US should be born on US soil to two American citizens. There must be NO conflict of interest or split allegiances!

Amen!

No, Mrs. Rubio, they did not all come for the same reasons you did. Nor can you know that because no one screened who these people are and they broke our laws to sneak in here.

Illegal immigrants, she said, are “human beings just like us, and they came for the same reasons we came. To work. To improve their lives.”

Wow, the Hitlery First crowd is out in force attacking our #1 Tea Party Conservative, Marco Rubio! The same losers that brought us Obama are now trying to tell us to follow them. No thanks.

amnesty will bankrupt this country and guarantee a Dem majority forever.

Those losers are worried about that kind of thing.

But I guess there are more important things, he has an R by his name after all.

Rubio’s plan does not include amnesty, non at all. Expect the Hillary lovers to go under cover and try to split our party again. I see the same names as I did six months ago. I expect the anti tea party trolls to attack him every day in every way because the know if Hitlery loses the Hispanic vote their Party is dead.
