Wanting Huntsman’s almost as bad as wanting Obama. I didn’t see that lart lf his ramblefest, but it doesn’t make sense. huntsman wasn’t up against Obama in the general unless he wrote Huntsman in or just didn’t vote. Regardless, the guy has a worshipful attitude towards Obama that’s becoming very prevelant on the left and very dangerous to this country. Notice he blathers on about all the perceived disrespect towards Obama but hasn’t a word to say about the far more scurrilous things said about W. Bush. No, even if he didn’t vote for Obama he’s part of the cult of personality. Notice he calls Clinton the country’s best president and his number 1 favorite; heaps praise on Hillary.

He’s obviously deceived. And believes that violence is going to “reclaim his name”.

I think if he actually dug down to why it takes a big headliner like a mass murder to get attention to an issue, he’d have to lay it at the feet of the culture that ignores meaty substance and just operates on sound-bites, and the polarity that keeps either “side” from wanting to listen to the other and engage with the actual content. Like an abused kid adores the abusive parent, he adores the media which is stifling real dialog because of its own bias.

What he said about Bill Cosby and why Blacks don’t want to hear Cosby’s valid points also applies to everything - to the media he adores AND to the corruptocracy in the LAPD that he despises. None of them want accountability, none of them want their dirty laundry aired out. That’s just a fact of fallen human nature, and that is precisely why the Founding Fathers insisted that checks and balances, separation of powers, and the rule of law are the keys to curbing corruption.

Somebody pointed out that if guns were banned for ordinary people, then the only people who would have them are the cops like the ones he knows are corrupt. It doesn’t make sense to get bent out of shape about how corrupt the cops are, and then say they are the only ones who should be allowed to have guns.

But he’s not thinking straight. He’s being confused by the mantra of the media he adores. And that’s what is so incredibly sad. I think this guy was driven to this point by the very corrupt (abusive) media and politicians he in turn so adores.

Because he adores them it didn’t occur to him to ask why any one of his media heroes didn’t do a focus story on the injustices done to him or on the corruption of the LAPD. It shouldn’t be up to him to create a media frenzy (through mass murders) to bring attention to the issue. He should have been able to go to the media and have their attention and THEY could create the public attention. The same thing the “birthers” have been trying to do all along - but have been unable to because the media has been threatened. They are puppets of the corruptocracy. And the result is that the legitimate means to start a conversation about important subjects have been cut off. Which creates desperate people.

I don’t usually buy into the idea that media causes somebody to go off the rails. And I do hold this guy responsible for his own mental health. But in this particular case, from what this guy said, I do believe the media is responsible. Some of the “birthers” responded to the media’s adoration of and blindness to the corruption/criminality of Barack Obama by disrespecting Obama and his wife - the only means of protest or dissent left to them after the courts all said Obama’s eligibility or criminality is none of their business. This guy thinks that resorting to disrespect is not right, but what he did instead (when he was similarly blown off and believed the system ignored his just arguments) was to shoot innocent family members of the corrupt elements. That would be the equivalent of us shooting Malia and Sasha, or the kids of Chief Justice Roberts.

We realize that the media is a big part of the problem, and so we try to find alternative means. He doesn’t recognize that the media is the problem so he plays within their rules - if it bleeds, it leads.

It’s sad. It’s sad that the mindlessness of his heroes has deceived him and he’s displacing all his violence onto people who really have nothing to do with what created this mess. Corruptocracies happen where there is no accountability, and that is what you get with the unions and a complicit media. The checks and balances of FREEDOM OF THE PRESS only exist if you have media that will actually BE a check and balance to power, not in bed with power.
