SPRINGFIELD, ILL. Gov. Pat Quinn is renewing his call for an assault weapons ban in Illinois.
The Chicago Democrat promoted the idea during his annual State of the State address on Wednesday. He asked lawmakers to move forward with strong public safety legislation. He says Illinois must prohibit the sale of assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition magazines.
Quinn says assault weapons don't belong in everyday public places like schools, shopping malls or sports stadiums...

Quinnochio doesn’t belong in public places like the governor’s office either but he does not seem to act accordingly. He is economically illiterate, constitutionally illiterate and rivaled only by Connecticut’s Danell Malloy as a complete gubernatorial idiot.

Thanks for the link, but Cuomo is the idiot I worry about. He declared a state of emergency for our current storm. He used a “message of necessity” to avoid normal legislative rules and procedures for his recent gun grabbing which I don’t believe will pass muster with the current Supreme Court, IMHO.
Governor Quinn, I love the White Sox, but I will not be traveling from Iowa to spend my money in your state to watch the Sox in person. I’m sure the folks in Kansas City will appreciate my visit.
Downstate Illinois hates Chicago with a passion, and lets that hatred override all other considerations once in a while.
Once in a rare while, I thank God for that.
