“Hillary has been caught in a HUGE lie!”

As if that has never happened before. Anyone remember her testimony under oath where every other word was “I don't recall”, “I don't remember”...yet those darn billing records showed up in her residence.

I think they call her a congenital liar for a reason.

And then there is the liar in chief. Don't expect the MSM to hold either of them accountable. They are on the same page of the political spectrum.

I wonder where they got the arms to send to Lybia or Syria. Being that Diane Fienstiens husband, Richard Blum supplied arms during the Iraq war, ya gotta wonder if he’s in this mix too!

There was a lot of speculation at the time that:

a) Stevens was in Benghazi as part of a gun-running operation

b) Stevens was SUPPOSED to be kidnapped, to give a pretense for the Administration to supply additional weapons and release prisoners as an exchange

c) The local security folks who defied the “stand down” order/non-order accidentally messed up the plan by turning a “show” attack into a hot firefight

d) During the chaos of the firefight, Stevens was killed

Wow, this has the potential to bring down an administration (think Iran Contra on steroids). And Hillary, if involved as Panetta indicated, could be facing criminal justice. Obama would be insulated on this unless Hillary was willing to implicate him.

To get the ball rolling on further discovery the families of the dead Americans should file civil lawsuits against Hillary and US Government.

I've been saying this since Sept 11! It made perfect sense for Assad to attack the suppliers of the rebels on Sept 11, since it could easily be blamed on others.

I've been saying from day 1 that Obama's been arming Al Queda associated rebels in Syria with weapons obtained in Libya. But it needed to remain hidden.

It also explains how there was this convenient you-tube video to blame, something that they've had posted for some time, they just needed to leak it to the islamists.

Unless I’ve missed it, when is someone going to ask to where the survivors are and demand to interview them?

This is just like Iran-Contra, which took down Col. Oliver North and Adm. John Poindexter, as well as Sec. Def. Caspar Weinberger, only worse because it's arming our enemies with the weapons they use against us.

Will the MSM have the appetite to follow this scandal in a similar fashion, or will the prostitute themselves to the Democrats and circle the wagons of protection when it's not a Republican administration doing it?

White House rebuffed Clinton-Petraeus plan to arm Syrian rebels
Reuters ^ | Sat, Feb 2, 2013 | Eric Beech

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A plan developed last summer by then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and then-CIA Director David Petraeus to arm and train Syrian rebels was rebuffed by the White House, The New York Times reported on Saturday.

The United States has sent humanitarian aid to Syria but has declined requests for weapons by rebels fighting to overthrow the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

The White House rejected the Clinton-Petraeus proposal over concerns it could draw the United States into the Syrian conflict and the arms could fall into the wrong hands, the Times said, citing unnamed Obama administration officials.

The plan called for vetting rebels and arming a group of fighters with the assistance of some neighboring countries.

Some administration officials expected the issue to come up again after the November U.S. elections, but the plan apparently died after Petraeus resigned because of an extramarital affair and Clinton missed weeks of work with health issues, the Times said.

Clinton, who stepped down as secretary of state on Friday, declined in a recent interview with the Times to comment on her role in the debate over arming the rebels.

Backstage Glimpses of Clinton as Dogged Diplomat, Win or Lose
New York Times ^ | Saturday February 2, 2013 | MICHAEL R. GORDON and MARK LANDLER

WASHINGTON — Last summer, as the fighting in Syria raged and questions about the United States’ inaction grew, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton conferred privately with David H. Petraeus, the director of the C.I.A. The two officials were joining forces on a plan to arm the Syrian resistance.

The idea was to vet the rebel groups and train fighters, who would be supplied with weapons. The plan had risks, but it also offered the potential reward of creating Syrian allies with whom the United States could work, both during the conflict and after President Bashar al-Assad’s eventual removal.

Mrs. Clinton and Mr. Petraeus presented the proposal to the White House, according to administration officials. But with the White House worried about the risks, and with President Obama in the midst of a re-election bid, they were rebuffed.

Got a “video has been moved or is no longer available” when I clicked on the link.

Was there text at the link to go along with the video, or was it your transcript of the “meat” of the story?

Makes me soooo angry, that video was up maybe for at most three hours. THREE HOURS!

(sigh)
